nope, we should abolish the feudal mentality of the malays.
They treated the voted leader as a King.

Absolutely No Way! The real power behind any UK government is the Monarchy. (haven't you caught on to that one yet) The Monarchy (believe it or not) has the final say on any major decision that will influence it's standing in the Global Village's pecking order. The Government of the day does as is 'requested' it does not rule (contrary to belief) Carte blanche, though it may frquently appear to do so. Times have changed since Cromwell's day when the "voice of the people" had to be heard and Parliament was seen to rule the land - politics and circumstance have gone full circle ensuring that the Monarchy may steer the bus from the back seat while using their politicos to collect the fares/pay the fines/and take the rap for any errors of judgement. It's akin to a 3 way symbiotic relationship i.e. the Shark the Ramora and us the Krill. Enjoy it in it's perpetuity - the Monarchy is here for keeps.

You should know better than to insult the Royal families in Malaysia. If you have such a problem with the monarchy system (for whatever reason- we have so much other bigger problems to think about), move out. I know at least 1.5 million people staying in Malaysia who would love to take your place as a Malaysian citizen.

What is the big deal with a Monarchy? Sure they waste money - but if they did not exist - your life would be the same. Many counties have this figure-head (England, Thailand, Monaco...) and they exist just fine. If your parents are complaining, they have a right to - but it would not make their lives any better off if there was no king. The politicians and corruption is what matters more to effect the 'normal' person.

Why? To enrich a selective few. That's all. Same goes with the New Economic Policy. Shameful indeed.

Dear cirrus, jksi21, BMW M5, Sarah and other yahoo answer Malaysian users,
this is Malaysia travel segment!! the questions and answers (not opinion) here suppose to help local and foreign travelers during their trip in Malaysia. how can monarchy issue and local dressing issue help travelers to find room in hotels and interest place to visit and relax?
this is not Malaysia political forum. there are other channels for Malaysia political forum. example, Citizen's Blog in thestar online and other political forums. if you guy really concern and would like to do something to change the political environment in Malaysia, there are many political parties available like UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan, PBB, PBS, PKP, DAP, PAS and others.
if you guy continue to use Malaysia travel segment to post up political issues and non-travel questions and answers, there is no doubt that people claim that Malaysia has world class infrastructure and 3rd class mindset people is true.
let our action louder than our voice
have a nice day
extra point......
do not create problem if you do not have solution
