I've been using a set that a buddy gave me which are nearly as old as I am. I've been checking out a couple of inexpensive sets and I thought I had a great set of irons picked out. They are graphite shaft. I've never hit graphite shaft irons. I asked the sales man who said graphite shafts were a poor choice in irons unless you're a woman or a senior male. What do you guys think? Distance? Accuracy?

Is golf the only game in which it's participants can come straight off the street in warm, everyday clothing and play all day without perspiring? Golf should be compared not to complex, high-energy sports like tennis but to low-energy games like bowling, pool, darts and curling.
Like the players involved in those games, golfers could never be described as athletes.
It is no mere coincidence that high-energy sportsmen of declining skills and fitness retire to the quiet, stress-free, physically undemanding game of golf.

I think Tiger Woods would be a dangerous fighter for many reasons:

Great hand speed and power: His incredible club head speed and ability to recover from thick rough. What about his uppercut fist pumps.

His desire to win at anything: He will not just stand there and let you beat him up. He hates to lose, so he will do everything in his power to win and he will never give up.

Fitness: He works out every single day and lifts weights. He is dedicated to physical fitness. He certainly won't tire out.

His wife is a kickboxing expert and Tiger has had lessons with her.

I'm not saying he'll beat everyone up, but just don't assume that you can beat him up when you haven't even seen him fight. Just because you don't like his cursing or club throwing, doesn't mean you could beat him up.

Tiger Woods is already a legend, and he is still young. He is wealthy, intelligent, famous, extremely successful, very strong, a nice person, and he has a big, broad smile. But, is he sexy to women?

I am wanting to replace batteries. I can purchase 12 volt batteries cheaper, plus there would be less wait to pull around the golf course. Is this possible, and will they hold up?

What type of brush tee would be most fitting for a TaylorMade R5 driver? (Extreme, Oversized, Driver). There are so many huge headed drivers, that I do not know where the r5 stacks among them.

And if so, how much? Couldnt find anything on our airlines site, may call -just dont feel like sitting on hold. Wonder if golf stores do also. See they're not too expensive online for a cheap one though.

Yesterday (Sunday) I went to play 18 holes at 12:00. I checked the golf questions before I left and everything was normal. When I came back (I shot an 83), There were like 10 pages of questions in the golf category. There has never, ever been even close to that much.

Man, if I answered all of them I could get like to Level 7!

One guy's theory is that some people are asking a lot of questions on one profile and then answering them for a ton of points on another profile.

Is this true? What's going on?

My husband loves to golf, but I really dont like to. I am just curious why most men love the game, and if there are any other women out there that feel the same as me. I really want to try to like the game, but I have played it and it just isnt my thing, I feel that there are betters ways to spend my time and money other than walking around a golf course and chasing a tiny little ball around.

The set is irons numbered 2 to 9 by MacGregor. They say Doctorx, system 4 , high modulus graphite., with a gold bag. My late husband barely used them and I have zero idea how much to sell them for. I live in Puerto vallarta Mexico.
