I have recently bought a 52* and a 58* F2 wedges. I like the 58* for short chips and bunder shots. For longer approach shots, I prefer the regular wedges, especially the forged ones.

I can use the F2 for approach shots as well. However, they don't seem to go as far as my regular wedges and the feel is not as good.

It is true that you cannot shank the shots. I tried open the F2 as wide as possible and I still can't shank it. If I do that with my regular wedges, I do shank them some times. So from that point of view, the F2 works really well.

I don't really like, them, I just prefer classic normal wedges.

Also, since the face is forward, it is like reverse offset so it wil cause you to fade/slice. It looks weird and it works ok from the rough and bunker.

If you want a kind of specialty wedge like that, I reccomend the Solus Wedge more. http://www.solusgolf.com/

The wedges I currently play are ones called the Snake Eyes Forged GBU wedges. They are traditional wedges except that they are the best looking wedge you'll ever see and also that it has a fat back part and it has been voted the #1 easiest to hit wedge out of bunkers in the world. http://www.golfsmith.com/products/SE2680

They work OK from sand or extremely deep rough, but not so good for the regular short game.

i dont know but my friend did not really like them, they say the club does not let you shank the ball, but that is like really hard to believe.
