Because he's just a kid and they don't want him to have to experience disappointment. It could adversely affect him when he has to go out in the real world and try to earn a living.

they do not let him person by person has fallen if you notice he always is in the running then the last day he just plays to win! if he has to par the back 9 he does if he has to birdie 4 of 5 holes he does! he does what it takes! it is not his fault that nobody else can handle the pressure when he is around the top on the leaderboard! i believe the call it the tiger factor if you were on the plains or something in africa would you be nervous if you knew there was a tiger out there stocking you trying to take over you when you make a mistake that is what tiger does he intimidates! i would love to play against him! i would not mind getting runner up to the best to ever play the game!

They don't make it easy on Tiger dufus.
Did you not notice that Tiger did shoot a 66 yesterday. That's 6 under and he only won by 2.
The other golfers don't make it easy for Tiger. Tiger makes it impossible for the other golfers. No way in hell was he going to not win yesterday. If he needed a 63 to win he would have shot it. If he needed a 70 to win he would have shot it. It's that simple.

Really good question! A lot of incredibly good players just seem to be scared of his reputation (even when, by his own admission, he's not playing at his best), and throw their natural games out of the window and make elementary errors that do 'gift' him an advantage. Look at the British Open in 2006, where he played driver only a handful of times - that should have handed the initiative to other players, but he played well and they blew their chances at times.
In fairness, right now he's playing so well that he's winning of his own volition, but I totally agree that great players are psyched out before they even hit a ball - and they have to improve that mental edge (which he controls better than anyone else on tour) if they're going to challenge him more often.

I don't think that they let him win. They just don't have the competitive spririt and focus that he has under pressure. The reason Tiger is great is because he pulls off great shots when he has to.
It doesn't hurt that he has more ability than anyone playing either.
He has a greater ability to focus, and rise to challenges than anyone else playing the game. That is why he outplays so many people on the final, day of a tournament.
It isn't his ability that wins him tournaments though, it is his unmatched will power.

They don't.
The statistics have been proven that when playing with Tiger, players feel the pressure and shoot higher scores. Read Golf digest.

He is the best, they know it, and when he is within 6 shots on the final day, they think about him and not thier game.
