or have all ready wrapped up there league title before the last 16 of the CL.Last season Chelsea couldnt do it, and neither could Man Utd, as they were both chasing the league and FA Cup. Something had to give and it was the CL. It is so hard for teams in the 'top three' leagues in Europe to win all competitions, or even complete the double of winning the CL and their domestic league. Apart from Barca, the winners of the last 3 Champions League were teams that were out of contention of their respected leagues by March, so they put all their eggs in one basket and concentrated on the CL. The reason why Barca won it in 2006 was because they had their league title wrapped up by the time of the Semi Final/Final and therefore they put all their energies into just winning the CL.
& Ac milan,while milan performed suprerbly this decade under ancelotti in CL, they haven't got a decent challenge for their league title yet. this is a point raised up well by Arsène , who said CL winners.

A.C. Milan and S.L. Benfica will be kicking off on Tuesday 18th of September a classic European derby with their Champions League debut for the 2007-08 season. What are you thoughts and prognostics on this game? Can Benfica, with a rejuvenated Rui Costa and upcoming star Di Maria, manage to steal a good result from Milan at San Siro? They got knocked-out by AC Milan at the semi-final stage
This time around, Ferguson has beefed up his squad with new talents like Luis Nani, Lee Martin, Owen Hargreaves and possibly Carlos Tevez.
In addition to that he has experienced players like Wayne Rooney, Christiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs.
But my concern really is, has the team got what it takes to beat other European clubs like Barca, R.Madrid,B.Munich and the likes?
