At the moment, the top four in the premier league go into the Champions League, but Platini is willing to substiture the fourth place slot for the FA cup winners. What do you think of his new idea? Do you agree?
And what happens if the FA cup winners are already int he top 4?

IF YOU REMEMBER, PLATINI'S ELECTION PROMISE TO UEFA MEMBERS (ESPECIALLY THE MINOR LEAGUES) IS TO GET AS MUCH REPRESENTATION AS THEY CAN. THE PROPOSAL IS PART OF HIS PROMISE. HE IS NOT A FAN OF THE ENGLISH CLUBS. IT IS VERY CONVENIENT.

Currently the FA Cup winner gets a berth in the UEFA Cup. If the winner qualifies for Champion's league or UEFA via league position then the runner up gets the place. Remember the Manchester United and Millwall final? Imagine Millwall against Barcelona. It would be a bigger massacre then Liverpool against derby 6-0. It would do nothing to increase the quality of play but it might get more teams from Bulgaria passed the group stages. This is taking a very large step backwards of quality and I do not agree with it.

The proposal covers more than the FA cup, it covers the equivalent cup for all of the top 16 leagues (the ones that get multiple berths in the tournament).

The intent is to break the monopoly of the top teams in the top leagues on the Champion's League and to give a better chance for some of the lesser leagues to advance further. Obviously, since the top teams in the top leagues have power, this idea, while an interesting starting point for needed reforms, has no chance of passing.

is it going to really make a difference? if you look at the past FA cup winners when has a team won it that wasn't in the top 4 already?

I think they should reduce the teams altogether to just champions and the cup winners for each of the big leagues. but that will never happen. too much money is at stake

i dont like it either because i dont think it would be fair. past winners of the FA cup have been from the lower divisions of english soccer and they wouldnt deserve to go to the champions league based on a couple of lucky wins over stronger teams. it is a bad idea because only the truly best teams should be in the CL to keep a good level of competition and spectacle. people want to see good games in the CL thats why its the most important club competition in the world. i dont like this idea. maybe they should get a berth for the UEFA cup but not the CL.

a million. Who will teach to be Liverpool's needed participant in this nighttime's interest? i think of Ryan Babel will score a objective and exhibit his real skill this nighttime. 2. Who will teach to be Chelsea's needed participant? Drogba would be their considerable danger from the beginning up of the interest. and likewise play o.k., 3. Has final nighttime's wonderful overall performance confident you that Lionel Messi is the perfect participant on earth? i've got continually had the comparable theory (that's becoming eternal), that Messi isn't an wonderful participant. I warfare at cases to work out the greatness, all human beings else sees. 4. Does Cristiano Ronaldo purposly act like a wanker? Or is it purely in his nature? i think of you have presented an asnwer to that query already.
