FIFA World Cup (TM) (Football, Sports) - June 2006

I live in Sydney and my SBS reception is crap. We live in apartments and we plug the TV straight into the mains building aerial. All other free to air channels are fine. Is there a way of getting better reception so I can watch my blooddy team the Socceroos play, rather than having to walk down to the pub to watch it at 2am in my PJ's? It's so frustrating.

how exciting is the world cup?

i don't watch the game. i'm not really that interested. but i might watch the finale. from there, i can see who will win the world cup.

my friend says it's magical. it makes you feel many things all at once. he said that "it could make you fall in love". the emotions of "rage", "dissapointment", and also "desperateness" all come.

what about you? what do you feel when you watch the world cup? and tell me how exciting is it really? i see a lot of fans in here get hyped up for it. all of them in their soccer uniforms and crazy hairdos...

Why not Argentina?

How come a lot of the focus is on Brazil, Germany, Italy, England, and possibly France as the favorites to win the World Cup? Argentina has a tremendous team full of talent, especially on the attacking end. I just don't get why Argentina is not part of the popular teams to win the World Cup. Its like everyone is overlooking at the possible winners and are forgetting about Argentina which is off to the side. If one were to compare the past World Cup experience, then Argentina should be ahead of France and England who have only won the World Cup once each to Argentina's two victories. Does anybody like Argentina? Is there anything Argentina does that are negative and do not appeal to soccer fans? I don't get it. It's as if they are not getting the respect/focus that they deserve.

Overall, the candidates should be Argentina, Italy, France, Brazil, Germany, England, the Netherlands, and Spain, possibly the Czech Republic.
