How come a lot of the focus is on Brazil, Germany, Italy, England, and possibly France as the favorites to win the World Cup? Argentina has a tremendous team full of talent, especially on the attacking end. I just don't get why Argentina is not part of the popular teams to win the World Cup. Its like everyone is overlooking at the possible winners and are forgetting about Argentina which is off to the side. If one were to compare the past World Cup experience, then Argentina should be ahead of France and England who have only won the World Cup once each to Argentina's two victories. Does anybody like Argentina? Is there anything Argentina does that are negative and do not appeal to soccer fans? I don't get it. It's as if they are not getting the respect/focus that they deserve.
Overall, the candidates should be Argentina, Italy, France, Brazil, Germany, England, the Netherlands, and Spain, possibly the Czech Republic.

ARGENTINA will win the Cup, no doubt. They really play as a team, without selfishness. They have amazingly skillful players, even on the bench. The members of the team are very close. Pekerman is an excellent coach. And most importantly, they are ready to leave their heart on the field.

Why not Argentina?? ITS FIXED MAN!!! If people havent seen how the refs totally help the crappy teams Brazil and Germany, they desrve to live in the lie. If those two dishonorable teams reach the final (as they are "scheduled to do" by the mafia, or should I say maFIFA), I will totally boycott this lie of a final.
Since pekerman took hold, Argentina has been my favorite team.
They are absolutely the best, but as usual, they will be cheated off of victory. Today Brazil won against Australia with all of the ref's help, and Australia still made them look like crap despite them (australia) having no skills.
Brazil doesn't deserve to be in the final, but they will be.
Nike probably pays for them to make it, or else all their marketing theme will be destroyed, and since most people are soooo stupid, they can't see that brazil's many fouls are disregarded, and are followers of this disgusting marketing ploy.
If Argentina manages to win, hats down, that means that they are extremely superior to other teams.

Argentina will not win the world cup. If we review history, we see that Argentina won 2 world cups 1978 and 1986. In 1978, it was the host nation, and in 1986 Maradona (the legend) was at his peak. In 1990, Argentina came 2nd. Argentina was a very strong from 1978 to 1990. Then in 1994, it was eliminated by Romania in the 2nd round. In 1998, Argentina played very well but was eliminated by the Netherlands 2-1. In 2002, Argentina was eliminated in the 1st round.
So I expect that Argentina, like in 1998 will be eliminated in the 1/4 finals or the semi-finals if they were lucky.
Just ask yourself, why would Argentina win the world cup in 2006 given that they failed in 1990, 1994, 1998 and 2002?
By the same argument, I think that England, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain are not even candidates.
Brazil and Germany have a very good chance of winning. Italy and the Czech Republic have a smaller chance.
Sorry, it is IMPOSSIBLE that Argentina wins the world cup in 2006.

There is not and outstanding team. Everybody is mediocre, so far. Spain could be the one with an edge. But they had a very good team the last two cups, and choked. Italy could have the best offense. Brasil was pathetic. Argentina showed a weak defense. The team that could improve the most from now on, will be the winner.

Why do care about other peoples opinion, they don't know a lot about football. they've just heard that brazil are favs and germany etc...but who played the most beautiful football in thsi world cup...........it's argentina. i bet my life that no 1 can stop argentina, they will win the world cup and that's final.

Argentina played the best out of every team in the tournament so far.
They can definitely win it...and probably will.
I always said whoever comes out first in Group C (Argentina or Netherlands) will go on to be the champions.

I think is all that marketing Brazil has.
Too many products for sell with their faces.
Good thing Ronaldinho is uglier than beating the crap out of your dad or his face would be even in the bills.
