..... The ball after the ball goes 10 yards but never touches the receiving team. But on a normal kick the receiving team can call a fair catch, not touch the ball and the ball is just downed once the kicking team touches the ball.
I've seen a hundred questions about kicking rules but this scenario has never been brought up.

if a team kicks the ball 40 yards they can touch it and down it. But on an onside kick they can kick more than 10 yards and revcover it. Neither depend on the receiving team to touch the ball.

If the QB throws the balls to the WR BEHIND the line of scrimmage and a lineman goes upfield to block, is that considerred ineligible man upfield?

There used to be a rule (possibly in the NCAA) that said that an incomplete pass into the end zone on fourth and goal allowed the other team to take over on downs at the 20 yard line (instead of at the line of scrimmage). Does anyone else remember this rule? Am I remembering it correctly?

I watched the whole game to witness history.

But after quietly rolling in the 1st half, none of them showed up. Did they take it easy because the game was decided since halftime or what?

It's thier Defense that is becoming thier strong suit!!! Again!!!!

9 redzone attemps zero TDs. Lets also mention that they are third in defensive stats and teams have been playing from behind all year. Alot of the points allowed are whatever points.

By unbeaten means a perfect record of finishing undefeated in the regular season and winning the Super Bowl. Do you think it will happen this season with the New England Patriots?

By the way, what the heck did the New England Patriots with Brady did in the offseason and preseason to do what they are doing?!?!

2007-12-23 12:05:14 · 7 answers · asked by Brothers Of Destruction Rulezzz! 4

You've seen it happen before, star player gets hurt when team is up by 21 with 3-15 mins to go in the game. Right now Brady is still playing in a 28-7 lead game with 3:50 left to go.. I don't know if this is a stupid tactic, or just smart football? And who knows whats going to happen next week on their last embark on a 16-0 season.

What do you fans think?
