If the QB throws the balls to the WR BEHIND the line of scrimmage and a lineman goes upfield to block, is that considerred ineligible man upfield?

It is only ineligible receiver upfield if a pass is thrown with the man upfield... so as long as the WR does not turn around and throw a forward pass, no penalty.

No, the ball was not passed beyond the line of scrimmage. In the same vein, there is no pass interference behind the line of scrimmage, so a tackler can hit the receiver if behind the line of scrimmage before the ball gets to him.

If it's a lateral, no it's not. If he throws it forwards, and the lineman leaves before the ball is thrown, then it is IMU.

they can go down the field a very short distance. it is the same rule that allows for screen passes to the running back...

i dont believe so, once the qb throws the ball the linemen should be free to move, if not then screens wouldnt be as effective as they are.
