Ok, every banging on Big 10 (and BigEast and Pac10 but mainly Big10) for not having a C title game..Answer this.. in order to do this... you would have to get 12 teams in each of these 3 conferences,, +1 to Big 10, +2 to Pac10 and +4 to BigEast... That is 7 teams needed.
4 Independents, so if you "force" them into a conference you still need 3,, where do you get them? I have ideas, but will wait to see some other solutions.

There's so many- going back to New Years w/ the hook and ladder and statue of liberty. This season though Aug 2007- now
1) The blocked kick that let Appy State beat UM.
2) I think my favorite thing was when UGA all came onto the field after scoring the first TD to rub in UF face- that was cool.

I know this really does not matter a whole lot, but can someone explain to me how Miami, Oh got into the championship game. Their conference record is 5-2. Bowling Green's conference record is 6-2. If you do the winning percentage of both teams, Miami got 71% and B. Green's was 75%. I just do not understand how Miami got in and B. Green did not. I know that Miami beat B. Green when they played each other, but still.......

With the way this crazy season has gone down we could end up with UGA and OSU. For some reason I see OSU playing in the title game- just a weird gut feeling.
I think Mizzou is playing better than OU right now and should beat them but who knows. OU usually shows up for big games (Trust me I'm a TX fan).
Don't underestimate Pitt v WVU. Pitt has played close games all year and this is a decent rivalry and what better way to ruin a rivals season than by going into their house and knocking them from the title game.
My prediction is going against my gut- WVU v Missouri- which I think would be a good game.

How focused was Michigan's desire for Miles for them to talk to his first and so early, imo. It's clear he was their #1 candidate all along. I assume he'll bring his remaining assistant coaches with him. Who will Miles get for his defensive coordinator, now that Pellini took the Neb job?

Landry was known as a quiet, religious man, unfazed by the hype that surrounded the Cowboys, then being billed as "America's Team". He was in a comic book promoting Christianity in the 1980s. Landry was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Landry's departure came shortly after the Cowboys were sold to Jerry Jones before the 1989 season. Jones hired Jimmy Johnson, his former teammate at the University of Arkansas, from a position coaching the University of Miami football team. When Landry met with his players two days later, to tell them how much he would miss them, he began to cry. The players responded with a standing ovation.[1] Landry's unceremonious dismissal by Jones was denounced by football fans and media as totally lacking in class and respect. In the years since, while most fans retain their support for the team, there persists significant levels of derision towards Jones over his mistreatment of Landry.[citation needed]

Landry's success during nearly three decades of coaching was the impetus for his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990, less than two years after his last game. Landry was inducted into the "Ring of Honor" at Texas Stadium in 1993. Landry had declined several earlier offers by Jones (a one man committee) to enter the Ring of Honor before accepting in 1993.

Landry died in Dallas of leukemia on February 12, 2000. He was interred in the Sparkman-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas. The Cowboys wore a patch on their uniforms during the 2000 season depicting Landry's trademark fedora.

A bronze statue of Landry stands outside of Texas Stadium. The section of Interstate 30 between Dallas and Fort Worth was named the Tom Landry Highway by the Texas Legislature in 2001. The football stadium in Landry's hometown of Mission, Texas was named Tom Landry Stadium to honor one of the city's most famous former residents.
