I agree they are a pretty weak conference (though they may get the national championship this year). But to be honest, I haven't seen alot of Big East fans say anything about their conference. Basically I see WVU fans on the board and they never address how bad the conference is.

Well the programs they brought in did help the conference a lot. Cincy, Louisville and USF have all turned out to be much improved programs.
It will be interesting to see in the next 5 years though. The Big Ten wants to add another team and the likely candidate will come out of the Big East.

No one thinks they are a decent conference, but the BCS are ranking the taems higher so they can draw a larger fan base out of that region. It's all about the money. Does anyone believe U-Conn had a ranked football team (After the fair catch play they ran to beat South Florida), which in turn boosts West Virginia's ranking, because they beat U-Conn, etc.

They left to make the ACC be able to have the title game...
ih- sure the Big 10 beats up on the MAC (mac had some impressive wins and near wins v big 12 last year).....
Just like the SEC tramples on SunBelt and or C-USA every year... same difference

Funnny that those teams that left didn't completely dominate the Big East but they're now dominating the ACC... Boston College was fairly mediocre as a Big East team.

Big East is a very good conference. How many bowl games did they lose last year against other conferences? Oh, yeah, that would be none. They swept all five games. Which other conference did that? Oh, yeah, that would be none again.
