I see no reason to watch NFL games since half of the starting quarterbacks are out with injuries and the Patriots cheat. Why waste time watching the NFL games?

Nah, just kidding. How's everyone doing?

Real question is:

Why do my Raiders suck so bad. I've been a fan forever but I can't remember being happy about watching them since the Jerry Rice Superbowl losing year.

How do the Raiders rebound? What do we need?

Cris Carter seems to think that Chad will be leaving the Bengals after this season.

1) Do you think it would be a good idea for Cinci to let him go?
2) What team would benefit the most from his play?

There is an article on Yahoo Sports ranking the 10 best college football rivalries. Now I probably have a biased opinion being an Ohio State alumnus but I can't imagine any rivalry in football being larger than Ohio State vs. m*ch*g*n. I think it can be compared to the Yankees vs Red Sux (again probably a biased opinion). The afore mentioned article ranks Alabama and Auburn as #1 in football rivalries. What is everyones opinion?

If you would like to include the NFL in your opinions please feel free as its all for fun anyway.

My friends just moved to the US to Nevada and have really become fond of the NFL. Since Nevada does not have a team they were looking for a team to root for.

They have already rule out the Seattle Seahawks because of their barf ulgy uniforms. ( They have 2 boys a 2 girls )

They teams with future potential so that they can grow with them.

Could you list 3 teams that you recommend.

1.
2.
3.

Shannon's brother made the HOF and 5 Pro Bowls in only 7 seasons, until he suffered a career ending injury when he was reaching his prime and after Favre's 2nd season as the starter.

Probably Favre would hold also the single season records and Sharpe would have been in the same category with Cris Carter, Tim Brown and Steve Largent as the best ever not named Jerry Rice.

Is now most likly out for the Season and possibly ever ~!
WIth LJ already out this Beat up KC team now will bring in Kolby Smith a rookie drafted this year in the 5th round out of Louisville....Smith looked alright in preseason even though he wasn't ever playing with the entire first string.....This means that the Chiefs will have a Rookie starting at QB with Brodie Croyle ,and RB with Kolby Smith,,,,and lets not forget Dwayne Bowe who is looking great so far................~!

Can this team compete in a weak AFC WEST and finish out the year on top ????

Packers at Lions.
Jets at Cowboys.
Colts at Falcons.

Pick a score to have a chance to get 10 points.

Okay, Dixon is out of the race, and most likely so is McFadden.

I think it will come down to Pat White (QB, West Virginia), Tim Tebow (QB, Florida), and Todd Reesing (QB, Kansas). And probably either White or Tebow winning it.

Who do you think will win it?

Now that Tom Brady has dispensed with any Brady vs. Manning discussion, it's time for Manning to take on one of his true peers. The two have very similar QB ratings this year in the mid 80's. So who's better? Harrington had a disadvantage of being thrown into the fire early on after the Vick fiasco but has been much better than Manning in recent weeks, so I'll give Joey Harrington the nod. We'll see tomorrow night, BIG GAME for MY Falcons!!!!!!!!!

was cruisin through espn.com this morning and finally found their bowl projections. just wanted to highlight a few...

BCS Championship Game -- WVU vs LSU (best two teams in the country right now)
Sugar Bowl -- Georgia vs Hawaii (...do i even need to comment?)
Captial One -- Illinois vs Florida (juice williams should win the heisman)
Rose Bowl -- Ohio State vs PAC-10 2nd place (worst game ever...)
Fiesta Bowl -- Oklahoma vs PAC-10 Champ (might be decent if oregon plays, otherwise ou is gonna roll usc)

I dont know bout you, but a few of those games look one sided to me...also, i cant wait for illinois to be tebow and the gators...

If you look at the bottom of the article, the two conferences are not even projected to fill all available bowl slots while the SEC, Big Ten, ACC, and the Big East are... what does that really say about the overall strength of those two conferences? Doesn't make Kansas, Missouri, USC, and Oregon look very good, huh?
