There is an article on Yahoo Sports ranking the 10 best college football rivalries. Now I probably have a biased opinion being an Ohio State alumnus but I can't imagine any rivalry in football being larger than Ohio State vs. m*ch*g*n. I think it can be compared to the Yankees vs Red Sux (again probably a biased opinion). The afore mentioned article ranks Alabama and Auburn as #1 in football rivalries. What is everyones opinion?

If you would like to include the NFL in your opinions please feel free as its all for fun anyway.

To Dimnd: The reason for the intentional mispelling is to emphasize the hatred between the 2 teams. And in my eyes its also their 2nd ring in almost 90 years. OH YEAH and thanks for not answering the question AT ALLL!!!

To those who first answered. I have respect for USC's program and school but best ever?..... get a grip.

To dimnd again: well the Yankees haven't missed the playoffs this century, Red Sux have, you know when they finished in THIRD place in the division in '06. Meanwhile you still haven't answered the original question.

To the poster at the bottom: actually the Yahoo article was taken from rivals.com so thats really only ONE vote and rivals.com is not as significant as ESPN who has OSU m*ch*g*n #1!!!!

Also, today on my lunch break I caught First take and they were talking about the KU vs. Mizz rivalry for this weekend and when they went into elite rivalries Auburn/bama wasn't even acknowledged. They put both Cal/Stanford and Fla/Georgia in front (still behind OSU/m*ch*g*n

OSU vs. Michigan, Auburn vs. Alabama, and Army vs. Navy would be my top 3. Steelers vs. Browns used to be #1 in the NFL in my book, but that hasn't been the same since the Browns left CLE for BAL. Cowboys vs. Redskins and GB vs. Chicago have to be up there in the NFL.

My personal favorite rivalry is WVU vs. Pitt, because I'm a WVU grad, so I have a personal stake in that one.

It has got to be U of M vs. oHIo state. I think a close second would actually be the Army/Navy rivalry. I dont really follow Army or Navy, but it is an intense rivalry.

For me the my Super Bowl of games is the FSU/UF game. In the 90's this game determined who was going to the national title game. I've never liked UF and never will.

Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs. They play each other every year in Jacksonville and it is dubbed the World's largest out door cocktail party. The rivalry is intense and goes back about 100 years.
