Is now most likly out for the Season and possibly ever ~!
WIth LJ already out this Beat up KC team now will bring in Kolby Smith a rookie drafted this year in the 5th round out of Louisville....Smith looked alright in preseason even though he wasn't ever playing with the entire first string.....This means that the Chiefs will have a Rookie starting at QB with Brodie Croyle ,and RB with Kolby Smith,,,,and lets not forget Dwayne Bowe who is looking great so far................~!

Can this team compete in a weak AFC WEST and finish out the year on top ????

As a KC fan since 73' I can tell you that we didnt draft Kolby Smith by accident. This kid is the real deal. Why do you think LJ keeps saying he'll be back this season instead of pobably taking the IR as a precaution? I'll tell you why, because he knows Kolby will outshine him and cause his stock to drop, like a rock.

This is going to be big trouble for the Chiefs passing game. They needed Preist's pass blocking ability to shore up the o-line and help protect Croyle on pass plays. Rookie running backs are typically not adept at picking up blitzes. We haven't really seen what Smith can do in this capacity, but they really need him to be a 6th offensive lineman back there on pass plays and we all know why. I really don't see the Chiefs finishing out this season strong. If they lose two more games, they're essentially out of the running to win the division because of tie breakers.

The AFC West is bad enough that the Kansas City Chiefs may very well win that division STILL!

I would take Herm Edwards and a band of misfits over Norv Turner and any team any day of the week.

The AFC west is terrible right now, so anything is possible. I wouldn't hold my breath though the Chiefs just aren't a very good team.

Even with a healthy LJ they wouldn't have a chance at winning the West.
