Cris Carter seems to think that Chad will be leaving the Bengals after this season.

1) Do you think it would be a good idea for Cinci to let him go?
2) What team would benefit the most from his play?

1) No, they cannot benefit from this. Like the Eagles with TO or the Raiders with Moss, they will not get a full value for a trade because of his reputation.

2) Probably the Titans - their receivers are god-awful, and they desperately need a spark for the pass offense. With that D and a decent running game, they could really make the jump to a top NFL team if they gave Vince Young some receivers to throw to. Likewise, the Jaguars would make a lot of sense. They also have a great defense and running game, and they don't have any great WR's. Gerrard is really working out for them and giving him a target could greatly improve his play.

Donnie - He's 4th in the league in yards! Thats still pretty good. he just isn't getting the TD's this year.

This has been rumored for 3-4 weeks at least, and has been aired on ESPN pregame and midweek for at least 3 weeks. (And now, suddenly Cris Carter has an opinion? doesn't he even read the Yahoo News that employs him?)

Cincy has to clean house, need to start really building a defense (how many years can their Coach get a pass, for ingoring this... when he was hired for that purpose?) and they are not made of money. Miami traded Chambers to SD (in the AFC), and Cincy missed the trading deadline, which says they are backwards if they lose him for nothing. While he's a self-promoter and would rub many teams/fans the wrong way... there's VERY FEW teams that couldn't use a WR of his caliber. How about the NY Jets? (who don't have anyone over 6 feet, and haven't since they butchered the Keyshawn situation) or the Giants, or any team that can throw the ball now... and would be vastly improved by adding him.. like the Titans, Seahawks, Saints? (I don't think the Bengals would want him in their division).

1) I think the Bengals' money could be better spent elsewhere. Chad is an outstanding receiver, but with Housh and Henry around it's not like they'll have nobody to fill his shoes. In fact, I think Chris Henry has the potential to be a great receiver if he stays out of trouble off the field. Given all their problems on the defensive side of the ball, I think they could direct his salary towards signing a couple of guys who will help in that area. The D-line is still an issue.

2) I think any team in need of a receiver would benefit, especially teams with a decent QB but nobody to throw the ball to. I'm sure Vince Young would love a guy like Chad to open up the passing game in Tennessee, and lord knows Miami could use some help at wideout.

I'm a Bengals fan and I really like CJ, but I believe it would be better for both parties if he's moved at some point in the near future. The team needs to rebuild quickly on the defensive side of the ball, and Chad has become somewhat expendable. Same goes for Rudi, if they don't plan on making him the feature back soon.

Fan wise it would not be a good thing for the Bengals to cut ties with him. Many fans watch the Bengals to see what Chad can do or will do. Business wise however it would be. The Bengals could get some much needed defensive help through a trade with him. An example of this could be with Atlanta for DeAngelo Hall or with Minnesota for a draft pick and go get some help at the LB position. Trading him now would be better for them because lets be honest his output is slacking.

i think Cinci may profit from his loss.. they still have housh.. and they really need to get there D in line, so a nice DB trade or something might be profitable for them...

I wouldnt mind seeing him on the 9ers but than again, who the hell would throw him the ball... no... i think that the titans would make GREAT use of him... poor Vince Young couldnt find a target if they were playing in a shooting range... he needs someone to throw to!

edit - I am wondering why the guy up there mentioned Seattle needed a wide out in a bad way... i dont think he has been watching much football lately...lol there pass game is tip top and the other dude, i think that marvin harrison/reggie wayne is probably the best WR duo out there (assuming harrison is healthy of course)

Ochenta y cinco. They could probably get a first draft pick and some cash if they gave him to Carolina, who could really use a good wideout opposite Steve Smith. Not a Carolina fan, but that would make sense to me.

You ask a lot of football questions. Are you really a hot female?

Probably over for cj in cincy, they need to keep rebuilding thier image and his tantrums don't help that cause. he's a great player and probably a good person, but just play man. I think miami would be a great fit for him, i think he lives in that area, and they need a veteran with talent.

1. Its not a good idea to let him go.
2. My Saints would benefit the most, lined up along side of Colston and Brees throwing to him, we would be dominant!

Who dat?

It sounds like he will be trade bait at the end of the year.

I think he would fit in well with the Cowboys!

He is gone. He needs a team with a good quarterback. I can see him going to a team like NY Giants or Jacksonville. Even though their quarterbacks aren't too strong, they have the cap room and could use a "go to" receiver.
