Football (American) - October 2007

If you rip either team, and make comparisons of the Cowboys to the Pats then you're totally missing the point of this question. I'm looking for people's opinions on what I saw as one of the most entertaining games of the year thus far.

Why don't NFL players do this? In a 2 minute drill or a situation where a team has no TOs left or something, why don't players catch the ball and just "accidentally" fumble it forward and out of bounds. I mean, it's technically a fumble, and unless you over - exaggerate it or make it blatantly obvious, it seems like a pretty easy way to gain yards.

They are cheaters! Anything great they've ever done can be questioned as really being the talent of the team. Why do people still stand by them?

Ok.. I asked this question last week...

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiS574LC32WJMJ3juJxxik7sy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071002155002AAc5Hm1

This week, Green Bay lost their first of the season, to Chicago (honstly - Favre did play badly) and that left only three "undefeated" teams....

New England trounced Cleveland, and hi-lighted how strong they really are...

And Indianapolis ran over Tampa Bay... also showing how though they really are...

And tonight... Dallas squeaked by Buffalo, in a game that Buffalo really should have won. Yeah - it was an exciting game...

So..... there remains three 5-0 teams.... Of those three, two play each other next week - New England and Dallas - in Dallas, while Indianapolis gets a bye week..

So.... Next Sunday, between New England, and Dallas....

Which of the two teams will take their first loss?

Romo? Cowboys D still hasn't kept a decent offense from scoring 35 points on them (the only decent offense they have played was the Giants). I think Cowboys lose the game next week 38 - 17.

There is no way they could of gotten away with that against a decent team. Now that's no knock on Dallas or Buffalo, but Romo played poorly and that great offense sputtered badly aside from the very end.

I think it's obvious that no NFC team is fully complete just yet. The Packers have everything except a dominant running game but have shown flashes last night. Dallas has a young QB in Romo regardless of how well he played up until this game. I believe that during the stretch to Week 13 when these teams face off in Dallas, they'll switch off and on from whos the best in the NFC because both of these teams are very good, but not complete yet, the only difference was Dallas was lucky enough to pull off the win. Thoughts?

America's team? I think not! If you're going to represent America on national TV, you gotta play better than that. Anyone feel the same way? By the way, maybe Jerry Jones should pass out some of that Pepsi drink with caffeine and wake up his coaches/players!

GO STEELERS!!!! (and Bills!!!)
