The Settlers are offensive. As they march West, they carefully mark off land they’ve gained on a grid, one yard at time. Their goal is to kick a pig’s skin between two palm trees in California.
The Natives are defensive. Their Chiefs, the strongest among them, line up to push the Patriot settler’s tail back and deny them any receiving.
The Government steps in. They’re the Referees. They get in the way, slow the pace and influence the decision.
As the battle rages on, it becomes clear that the offensive always win.
“Not so!” some will say, but it is true.
It is true because the moment a brave snatches away the pig’s skin, he himself becomes offensive. He looks for slower warriors to block the angry mob whose pig he has plundered, and, as he runs down the field, he dreams about the goal and kicking balls.
