I would have said 7-9 but now I am going 5-11 because they traded Randy Moss their best player to the Patriots come on I know Randy wanted to be traded but seriously the Raiders would have taken I step closer to the post-season. New Coach, New Quarterback they have a good running back depth chart 1. Lamont Jordan starting 2. Dominick Rhodes at Backup and 3. Michael Bush who looked like a top 10 pick at halfback. Still they need a new owner the Raiders will never ever win a Super Bowl under Al Davis. There defense is good but they need to improve on offense if they get a top 10 pick next year this team could be a sleeper in 08 or 09. This team is taking the Right direction but there 4 years away from the playoffs.

Quaterback: C, Jamarcus Russel should be the starter after the first few weeks and should give them a chance to win each week
RB: C-, This rating is due to a lousy year by Lamont Jordan. However, if he goes back to old form he and Dominic Rhodes could be a solid running back duo.
WR: D, You know your wide recievers aren't great when Ronald Curry is your #1.
DEF: B-, The Raiders defense is usually average, a little better than average.

I believe the Raiders will go 6-10 or 7-9, but could do as bad as 4-12 or good as 8-8. The raiders have nothing to lose and they know it, so they could either keep their losing attitude or surprise all.

4-12, and that is being awfully kind considering Al Davis is still being the incompetent stringpulling micro-managing senile old coot. He REALLY needs to do the right thing and sell the team! He may have no dignity left, but those diehard fans still do.

That offensive line is a mess, the QB is (as always) unsettled, the rookies have yet to prove themselves. Oh, and there's that new coach. What's his name . . . ? Dan Quayle? Where's Waldo? Opie? The point is that whatever his name, this new coach inspires about as much confidence as Dan Quayle. Amazingly, he isn't a ventriloquist mannequin.

Yes, the Raiders defense is good, but it's certainly not going to shut down the Chargers offense or the Colts offense! and you know both teams will score defensive/special teams points against the Raiders. That Raider defense will be on the field for much too long, too often. That really wears out the D, big time.

There's also those off-field troubles and distractions which help sustain the misery in Oakland.

Sorry to rain on your parade, man, but I'm just trying to be real.

i despise the raiders with everything that i know, they have the second rudest fan only to the broncos and i just flat out don't like them...but i want to be an NFL analyst when i grow up so i'll tell u what i think goin' off of just they people they have...they have an underrated running back in my opinion except that he is fumble prone, and i don't think there qb last year wuz all that bad they just had no line at all...if they get there o-line together then they will have a 9-7 or 8-8 season...if they don't then they will be looking for a 5-11 or 4-112 season

Words to hear next April, "And with the first pick in the 2008 draft the Raiders choose....."

They should be happy if they get 2 wins again. Jamarcus will be the scapegoat. Doesn't matter that he has no support, everyone will blame him cause he was the #1 pick. He sould hope he gets hurt early in the season and then traded over next off season. Then he might have a chance at a decent career.

They are nowhere near the 8-8 record you say. They have a hard division for starters. Lost all division games in 06. The schedule isn't really nice this year. Chicago and Indy?

I'd say either 4-12 or 6-10.

I say 13-3 like final year. Manning has have been given the monkey off his returned. So i think of he would be enjoying great nicely without each and every of the stress however the protection is somewhat ify in view that Cato June and Nick Harper are long gone. They did nicely interior the draft so Ithink there offense would be extra useful than final years. one extra ingredient Joseph Addia is going to have a injury out season if he does no longer get harm.they are going to pass into the AFC Championship and lose to the Pats because of the fact i think of the Pats are the only group that has a large risk to overcome them.

Hmmmm...as a 49ers fan that means that we have a natural rivalry going on.
So, with that said, I say.......0-16.
Just Kidding, I expect them to at least be a 4-12 maybe a 5-11. As long as Russel comes along nicely and the WRs catch the dang ball for him, it should be a "successful" season for Oakland.

I dont think they got much better at all. Not addressing the O-line and replacing Moss with Mike Williams didnt help. A rookie quarterback, Rhodes missing the first four games, Sapp another year older, and a young head coach who wasnt even a coach in college, will lead them to no better than 4-12.
