The 49ers are sure to make an impact of some sort this year. The NFC West, though not the toughest division, still will be very competitive with the 49ers, Rams, and Cardinals vying for the top spot. But with a revamped team (Gore, Davis [back from injury], Willis, Lawson, Clements, Lelie, Smith) the 49ers are going to be a team on everyone's mind. We won't be a 16-0 team by a long shot but we have a, i'd say, VERY large chance of winning our division with say a 9-7 or 10-6 record and making into perhaps the second round of playoffs(i am a true niners fan but i hope no one expects a superbowl run out of this team...they're still young and need to mature. plus there just are more talented teams out there). but we're getting better steadily and in 2 years I'd say we are going to be force to be reckoned with.

finally a niners fan
heck yeah the niners can make an impact this year BUT only if there young players mature a bit more quicker
alex smith has blossomed into a solid quarterback (remember rookie season, 11 ints., 1 TD)
frank gore is only going to get better
they have a better depth in reciever with their third round pick and ashley
there D has become the best in the NFC west
they picked up nate clements and other great free agents
watch for the niners to sneak into the playoffs by wild card or division leader with a 9-7 record

Jeulousy is such and ugly thing boys! Of course we are going to make an impact. Playoffs yes, the battle for the division will be between the 9ers and the same ol' sorry lambs(Rams). Arizona has no o line and Seattle barring injuries will not be able to compete with these two clubs. Alaxander still is sosoft and Hasslebeck has no receivers to throw to that are worth anything. Look for a possible NFC Championship with the Saints.

I'm not really a niners fan, but I do like to watch them play. Frank Gore is highly underrated, and I think Alex Smith is way better than people think he is. Just because San Fran has had some down years, no one gives them credit. I say look for them to make a ruffle in the league this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if they make the playoffs.

Yes! Someone has to be in last place! Think of the great draft pick they will get!

No, the only impact they can make is them hitting the ground when every opponent they face stomps them.

they will probably make the playoffs, but they are a couple years away from doing anything once they get there.

They're in the NFC. Anything is possible.
