The Bears played an awsome game last night and held the Saints to just 14 points, the entire time, the announcers were Bear bashing, before and during the game, not one good word for the bears, saying how awful they were and didn't belong to be there. Even after the game, on the highlight show, they showed every one of the Saints good points and none from the Bears. What is the deal with that. The Bears played a great game and deserved to win. Does anyone else thing the Bears are getting screwed???

The New Orleans Saints have rarely had a winning season, When they did, it was always in connection with supernatural help, and it was for that season only. One year they had a winning season after the Pope visited New Orleans and blessed them. Another year they had a winning season after the local voodoo practitioners did a ritual for them. etc. This is the first year they've even made it into the playoffs. I believe this is because of the near destruction of the Dome in Katrina and the heavy cleaning done afterward, or it may have just been dumb luck. Still, they blew it in the game with the Bears. Many say the team is cursed, and give various reasons -- an inauspicious name or time of incorporation, a desecrated graveyard under the Dome, etc. What can be done to break the curse on the team, not just for that season, but once and for all? Who Dat can tell me something that will work, that I haven't heard yet?

Indianapolis and Chicago are separated by only 180 miles, 3 hours by car.

Was there any previous Super Bowl matchup that featured two opposing cities nearer each other than 180 miles?

If not, what were the closest Super Bowl cities until this matchup featuring Indianapolis and Chicago?

Grossman or Brees? Grossman isn't great, but Brees couldn't get anything started yesterday. I guess he figured the refs were gonna hand the Taints the win.

I'm not saying the Jets definitely need to draft a QB, but a lot of people say the Jets are weak at the QB position.

What were all these bad calls against the Saints that every one keeps talking about? The turnovers that obviously went the Bears way? The intentional grounding saftey that was the right call? Can't you just admit the Bears are a better team, and thats why they won?

We have the Bears with a quarterback who can't throw against a team of mice and a defense...if on is great...but if off is severely suspect.

We have the Colts who have a great quarterback who picks on his O-line when things go wrong and a suspect, at best, defense...ok, the Colts have a darned fine kicker though.

In all honesty, I cannot say I've been more disappointed in any of the Super Bowl matchups ever.

Thoughts?

If the BCS system was used in the NFL the superbowl would likely be San Diego vs Baltimore. That is assuming Baltimore received more votes then the same record Chicago Bears. Baltimore definitely may have won the votes because they finished stronger and beat the #1 seed San Diego. Do you hate the BCS as much as I do?

The BCS is garbage that rewards consistency above all else. It doesn't matter how teams match up out of conference all that matters is you don't have one bad game inside conference.

I, for one, did not have the Bears nor Colts even picked to get to their respective conference finals...never mind where they have.

My original pick was to see the Broncos versus the Panthers.

Who was yours?...be honest now...

The Bears AND the Colts are both in the Super Bowl. Can you believe it? It's exactly what I wanted to happen, but I find myself in a state of shock. I'm excited, but amazed that it's actually happening! How about you?

The next two weeks you are going to hear a lot of talk from the media about how Tony Dungee and Lovie Smith will be the first two black head coaches to coach in the Super Bowl and how great of an accomplishment it is and yada yada yada. Is it just me, or is it the left media who constantly brings up race issues when the majority of Americans dont even care. I dont look at the teams and say wow, a black head coach is going to the super bowl. I look at it as two great coaches are going to the big game. They earned it and fought hard. They fought there way up the ladder and made some great accomplishments. Not because they are black, but because of their talent and skill. The media plays things like this off as milestones and what not and always brings race in to it. They also look at the fact that their are 4 black head coaches in the league and they say 'we have such a long way to go' What??? This is just stupid.
