Football (American) - January 2007

[Selected]: All categories Sports Football (American)

We will be having 7 kids (only one likes football and the rest are under 9) and several adults (not sure on exactly how many). Most of the adults are Colts fanatics. We played some games last night, but the kids weren't really into them. We need to think of some neat ideas for people of all ages. We don't really want to do any outdoor activities, but we do have a 2 car garage we can do games in. Thank you for the suggestions.

Am I alone here in this perception? This past weekend's games were fantastic for football purists. Seems like the Superbowls have become more media hoopla than real football in recent years. All the buzz is about new commercials, ad prices, half-time entertainment, wardrobe malfunctions. The game itself seems to take a backseat to the commercial hype.

Myself and four of my Sigma Chi brothers are driving down from Western Illinois University to watch the Superbowl in Chicago. Where's a good place to watch the game? And is there anything going on in Halas Hall? If so, how much is it? Thanks everyone! GO BEARS!!!

I was very proud of Peyton Manning. He finally proved his ability to beat the Patriots out of a Super Bowl Spot. Guess what?? We are going to the Super Bowl. We're going to the Super Bowl!

I know Andy is a good coach and has done well for the Eagles. I question his decision making. On big games it seems like as if he forgets how to coach. He dosent handel the time of the game and dosent go for it on big games like 3rd and 0ne or even question calls that are obvioues to the team. I also dont know why he didnt run more and have a big back or even a full back to run thoes 3rd and ones. He puts a punt team in when and if we had a big back they could run it in and last. Its a big passing scheme then why are we lacking good recivers. Brown is ok and stalworth is ok but nothing special??????? I just question it all??????

Do you think the average NFL player from 50 years ago would make it in today's game? Conversely, do you think the average player in today's game would have made it 50 years ago?

What about the same question for basketball, baseball, hockey, and any other sport?

I'm from Seattle originally, now in Louisiana. I was very upset that Seattle got beat by the bears, and even more upset that the Saints lost. I've got it in for the bears, but I believe Manning will overpower them in the Superbowl. (Check out my blog on Yahoo 360. Master Z.Z. ZippenZappers blog. Tags= Football, sports, colts, bears)

My husband & I are having a disagreement about who created the game; was it a white man or a black man? I know sometimes in the history books they don't give credit where credit is due, can anyone give an accurate account of its origins?

What about Dungy? Everybody forgot about poor old Dungy because Lovie won first but they will both coach at the same time.

I find it ironic Dungy is perceived as this saint when in fact he ignored his son and put football ahead of his family. I hope the public learns more about him before rooting that he wins the Super Bowl.
