New Rule:
Any player testing positive for any steroid use shall:
1st offense - 4 game suspension without pay AND not be eligible for any post season awards AND will not be eligible to play should their team make the playoffs.
2nd offense - 1 year suspension without pay and a mandatory 25% contract reduction the following year.
3rd offense - banned, bye bye you're gone from the league.
Why is the league just giving lip service to the steroid issue. Let's get serious, make the penalties for the player as harsh as possible. Even consider penalizing the team then maybe the individual teams will get just as serious about the issue.

Wouldn't it be better for them to go finish their senior year so when they get into football and IF they should be sidelined by a career-ending injury, they'll have something to fall back on.

Would it be safe to say that Drew Brees (who is now with the Saints), LT, and Antonio Gates brought them from a laughing stock to an NFL powerhouse?

Or was it the change in coaching staff? Or both?

I decided to join the Marines after I graduated so instead of playing football, I did JROTC.I was 5'11" 215 lbs. in high school and very fast.I didn't realize the speed thing until later. While in JROTC I competed in the Physical Training Team.I timed my 40 and turned up a 4.5 consistantly(yes its true).I had an explosive start as well. I gave a 5'5" 140 lbs. guy a 10 yard headstart and beat him on a 60 yard race, the guy would also compete. The people I raced in the Marines were from 5'4" to 6'3" and 130 to 185lbs. One was 6'1" 160lbs. and I beat him off the start for 20 yards and he was gaining, I pulled my hamstring toward the end and he won ( it would have been close, next time I'll stretch).I can tackle, intercept, catch, if it hits my hands 98% of the time I got it. I can also take hit. The people I've played against all played high school football and say that I am fast and always ask if I played. I have pics on http://www.myspace.com/albertozavala... check it out and let me know.

This weekend Bears vs. Packers will be a good game. But will Lovie Smith keep to his promise and beat the Packers? Or will logic prevail and will they reserve the key players for the games that matter in the playoffs?

I am a Packer fan but will concede that the Bears should beat the Packers but will they really want to bother? Will the rivalry prevail? Or will the post season be the ultimate goal? What do you think?

I know, they have a horrible ground defense, but I would like to see the team playing in February

Am I the only Jet fan here!Look they are having a surprising year under Eric Mangenius and they have alot of new talented players which most teams don't have and Pennington could win the comeback player of the year award.Sure he might not have alot of arm strength but no Quarterback is perfect.Who knows what'll they do in the playoffs, they could go all the way.

You football fans have to see the jets are something special, the reason why you should believe me is cause I'm also a yankee fan
