It's just a lot of hype. Tony Romo has a few good games and everyone just thinks he's the next Troy Aikman. There isn't much talent at the QB position this year for the NFC, seeing how as the above poster stated that McNabb would've went in if he hadn't been injured. If voting would've ended around the end of the season, Romo wouldn't have made it in, and I think Jeff Garcia would've had a better chance going in. Romo's been getting in over his head with all this hype, and thinking that he really is the second coming of Jesus in a football uniform. He's complaining about how he doesn't get enough oppurtunities, so I'm guessing he caught the T.O. bug. Well, what can I say about this guy? Everyone loves him, seeing how he's with Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson before the game. Everyone just remember, the first time Romo came into the game, he threw a pick.

Im with ya, dude. The guy sucks, as demonstrated in his last 4 games.
However, ive learned over many many years of watching football that, since the early 1990s, the Pro Bowl is not about talent anymore, its about popularity.
The player that sells the most jerseys, the player who talks the most smack (whether or not he can back it up), the moron who does an occasional TD celebration when his team is down by 21 points....
THESE are the guys that get selected to the Pro Bowl by the
12 yr old fans who use the internet to vote.
So... Case in Point.......
Every moron Dallas fan came out and voted for who they thought was the next Joe Montana: Tony Homo.
Biting them in the azz as we speak, aint it?

Lack of stars at the position this year in the NFC. McNabb would have made it had he not been injured, but after him there was nobody else who deserved the Pro Bowl any more than Romo.

In the old days only players, coaches and sportes writer voted. Now the fan vote so who ever they like will go. TO could catch 200 passes and will never make the pro bowl because the fans do not like him.

Because ESPN and everyone else hyped him up so much. Most fans are like sheep and will listen to all of the crap that is spewed from the analysts on tv and then turn around and vote for those players.

1. He plays for possibly the most popular team in football.
2. He's put up ridiculous stats when he decides to play.
3. Who else from the NFC was going to go? Micheal Vick, hell no.

Like any popularity contest, those that deserve to win very often don't. Think: Academy Awards, Grammies (just who votes for this away anyway!), American Idol.
