For two weeks in a row, CBS has not televised the chiefs game. I know CBS has the broadcast rights in our market (oklahoma). Today CBS showed moutain bike racing.
Please do not respond with "because the chiefs suck!" First, I know and second, I watch bad teams on TV every sunday.

It almost seems they're paranoid of losing viewers since it's on cable now instead of ABC (local networks). They're trying to show off Monday Night Football every chance they get. From their corny "countdown timer" to kickoff on the score "ticker" on the bottom of the screen... to their outdated and just ridiculous intro for Monday Night Football. (It would make more sense if they actually used NFL team logos on the players they use in the intro, not actors with no team logos at all that look more like big screen tv newspaper ads with some fictional football game on the screen.)

I'm fond of the Marshall "Thundering Herd". That sounds pretty tough to me. A THUNDERING HERD. What other names do you think sound like they'd kick your butt?

I don't know--I think that the Chargers have really wussy uniforms. The lightning bolt is lame. I'm not even an NFL fan, but I know a wussy uniform when I see it. I'm more of a college football fan, myself (war damn eagle!), and the UNC Tarheels have BABY BLUE uniforms. Does anyone else agree that these are wussy and need to be changed? What other teams have uniforms like this?

they play in a weak confrence? Two of the big east teams are in the top 10 (West Virginia, Louisville). Dont forget about Rutgers.
People say that West Virginia will get embrassed when they play a real good team at the season's end???
Does anyone recall last year's sugar bowl? When West Virginia thrashed the Georgia Bulldogs (SEC confrence)???
People accuse WVU of relying on 1 player (steve slaton). How about Pat White? Owen Schmidt? Brandon Myles? Darius Reynaud?
people just dont like to do their homework...
People will see how good West Virginia really is at the end of the year.
Still, though... people will give them no more respect next year, than this year, as West Virginia will remain one of the most disrespected teams, on one of the most under-rated confrences...

At first I didn't think twice at the idea of this cocky sucessful football player even considering suicide. But after thinking about it, he could easily have had a depressive episode and tried to kill himself. His behavior is manic like, he is very energentic and diffucult to deal with which is a classic sign of someone with bipolar disorder. I thought about it for a while, and it seems as though it is possible that he has bipolar disorder. However, I'm no psychiatrist, but that is the only thing that would explain his possible suicide attempt, if that is what happened. It is the only thing that could explain such contrasting behavior, extreme downs and ups.

As the Steelers lose their 3rd game tonight, I can't help but think either something is wrong with him mentally due to the wreck, appendectomy, etc., or he just got lucky last year. What say you?

It's possible.

I guess this is an argument in favor of having a tournament.

USC, Florida, West Virginia, Louisville and the winner of the Michigan/Ohio State game can ALL go undefeated! Who'll play for the National Title then?

In my opinion, the BCS rankings are a joke and an old fashioned head-to-head match-up would better determine a real National Champion instead of a computer fead stat machine.

How would they determine who play's for the National Champiuonship then?
