they play in a weak confrence? Two of the big east teams are in the top 10 (West Virginia, Louisville). Dont forget about Rutgers.
People say that West Virginia will get embrassed when they play a real good team at the season's end???
Does anyone recall last year's sugar bowl? When West Virginia thrashed the Georgia Bulldogs (SEC confrence)???
People accuse WVU of relying on 1 player (steve slaton). How about Pat White? Owen Schmidt? Brandon Myles? Darius Reynaud?
people just dont like to do their homework...
People will see how good West Virginia really is at the end of the year.
Still, though... people will give them no more respect next year, than this year, as West Virginia will remain one of the most disrespected teams, on one of the most under-rated confrences...

West Virginia is an outstanding team. I am a Georgia Tech fan and I have a lot of respect for them.

What is it with you people and strength of schedule? They took most of that influence out of the computers in 2003. Anyway, West Virginia is getting lack of respect. West Virginia is good. They've beaten everyone pretty handily and only have one loss, to South Florida. I'm an Auburn fan and this is interesting. We lost to South Florida this year too. We also have to play West Virginia next year, lol. Anyway, back to the point. West Virginia is just like Auburn. They both are disrespected in the BCS polls EVERY year. Don't believe me? Look at the BCS this week. Auburn fell two spots and Florida (a team they beat) jumped 5 spots over Auburn! West Virginia didn't even move. I think they're being underrated because they are in the Big East, but I think they should be a spot higher, at least.

Must be incredibly hard to be 5-0 when you're playing teams with a combined record of 8-19. When your second toughest game of the year is Rutgers you know there is something wrong with your schedule.

How about you play some of the teams Ohio State, Michigan, LSU, Auburn, Florida are playing.... then we'll see just how good your team is. Until then quit bitching you don't get enough credit for beating the likes of:
1-4 Marshall
1-5 Eastern Washington
3-2 Maryland
2-3 East Carolina
1-5 Mississippi State

WIth remaining on your schedule
3-3 Syracuse
2-3 Connecticut
5-0 Louisville (Hey a real team how bout that!)
3-3 Cincinnati
5-1 Pittsburgh (another overrated team, no wins against teams with winning records)
4-2 South Florida (wins against McNeese State and Florida International, enough said)
5-0 Rutgers (second best team on your schedule, still barely squeaked by South Florida)

When you play a schedule like that how can you not realize and understand why your team gets no respect. You have to earn respect, and you don't earn respect by playing a record like yours. Play in the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, hell even the PAC 10 and you'd finish in the bottom half of the league.

All that S*** you quoted was LAST YEAR! That was then, this is now! They get no respect because of that P**** schedule they play, then kick the crap out of them. Same thing happened to Auburn three years ago, went undefeated, but because they played Tennessee twice and beat them, plus kicked the crap out of a 1-AA school (Western Carolina I beleive), their schedule strength wasn't considered good enough to have them in the top 2. Welcome to the I'M CRYING IN MY BEER 'CAUSE OF MY P**** SCHEDULE CLUB! Come back and talk smack when you play somebody REAL and BEAT THEM, you tool! They didn't dominate in the Sugar Bowl, it was a close game!

Because people who claim to be their fans screw up their name? Oh and Pitt is getting snubbed out of the top 25 if you ask me. Hell they are technically at the top of the Big East.

this is not last years team and, they probably have the softest schedule of any team in the top twenty five. with a schedule like that, they shouldn't even be eligible for post season play.
