As the Steelers lose their 3rd game tonight, I can't help but think either something is wrong with him mentally due to the wreck, appendectomy, etc., or he just got lucky last year. What say you?

He is having a hard time this year, for sure. But he has time to get back on track.
Roethlisberger when you get down to it is not a star and probably won't be. He is a glorified manager and not an impact player. I don't mean that to be an insult, thats just what he is. But thats good enough to win the super bowl, as he did last year.
Only time will tell for sure if he is a fluke, but I don't think so.
Bledsoe doesn't deserve all the critiscism either, but I will tell you flat out that Dallas is overrated, period. They aren't that good.

I'm a little nervous myself about Big Ben. I don't think he is a fluke or was lucky last year...but I do think he still has some residing affects physically. I really thought the bye week would help, but as these games always seem to end with an interception at the end of the 4th quarter, I don't know. I'm hoping the Steelers can get back into the swing of things, but Ben's health is really the most important thing to me right now. Maybe Bill Cowher should have Charlie Batch start a game? I don't know....

It's hard to be a fluke after winning a Super Bowl, maybe that was his peak. Hopefully not because he does have talent but who knows. The accident may have some unknown damage.

I think 'berger should have taken the year off. Losing Randel el was huge. Their defense is starting to age a bit and they got a tough schedule. As a NE fan I rather enjoy watching Porter lose, but, all kidding aside, 'berger is not the same and he should take some time off to heal before he gets his block knocked off.

I think its a bit of both, he doesn't have the same super team that he had last year, and the facing the toughest schedule. What happened in the offseason certainly didn't help his case at all.

It wasn't luck last year. Big Ben isn't back to his normal health yet. Can't you tell that?
