It almost seems they're paranoid of losing viewers since it's on cable now instead of ABC (local networks). They're trying to show off Monday Night Football every chance they get. From their corny "countdown timer" to kickoff on the score "ticker" on the bottom of the screen... to their outdated and just ridiculous intro for Monday Night Football. (It would make more sense if they actually used NFL team logos on the players they use in the intro, not actors with no team logos at all that look more like big screen tv newspaper ads with some fictional football game on the screen.)

Actually I have Dish TV... if I didn't have cable or satellite how the he!! would I know about all their commercials and promoting of it??? Here's an idea... go back to school. "you just mad you aint got cable"... wow, that's something I'd be proud to brag of... has cable taught you your brilliant grammar skills???

Its irritating isn't it? They always over hyped it, but this year its obnoxious.
I watch the games, as I am a big football fan. But this group of announcers is horrible. Its like cooking something with ingredients that don't fit. Kornheiser is very dissapointing.
Their ratings have been good though. Oh, I have ESPN on in the background, you guessed it, another MNF commerical. Is it Monday yet says the voice. I guess you are right!

they want to go all out because they feel that's what the viewers want. it is unnecessary, at the same time annoying. they think they are so much better than ABC because Monday night football is now on cable. I won't watch it anymore

You could say the same for the over-hyping of T.O.'s return to Philly though too.

I think for them it's good but to see the commercials over and over again is so annoying!

I agree with you that it is just stupid and over-hyping. Come on when it was still on ABC they didn't need to go to that extent.

Its not the same. Joe Theisman sucks. I'm so glad that they at least ditched McGuire.
