I like the team, the QB and the coach, but building a great team really starts at the front office and the ownership.
When the 49ers put together their team of the 80s, the '85 Bears, the Steelers in the 70s, the Pats in the new millennium, it was great decisions by the owners that made the difference.
Like the Cowboys, Jones went with Jimmy Johnson result - 3 Superbowls, since Johnson - ZERO (oh, sure Johnson only won TWO but it was HIS team that won the third!)
Like the awful decision of the Bills to start Ron Johnson instead of (the QB who "brought them to the Ball,") Doug Flutie in 1998. They have NEVER recovered from that terrible decision!
No, the Bears management after years of really awful decisions, seems to have things (finally) well under control!
They have picked (obviously) an excellent coach, stuck with an (obviously) excellent young QB and (finally) built up an simply awesome team.
I have to say that when a team like this one emerges, you have to give a lot of credit to the ownership and management. It NEVER happens by accident.
(And I say this as a die-hard Seahawks fan........)

Obviously, a lot of fingers would point towards Grossman. With last years defense returning 11 starters to the field, and adding nothing but depth from drafts and free agents, the Defense has gotten noticeably better. Grossman's presence on offense opens up the passing game, which is established by the hard work of Jones and Benson, setting up the playaction pass. But most of all, the guy responsible is no doubt Lovie Smith. The coach is responsible for putting the right guys on the field, and sticking by players like Rex (who caught a lot of **** during the preseason) and giving them the chance to do what they have the ability to do. Lovie Smith, hands down, is the key for the bears this year.

It all starts at the top......Lovie Smith has done a magnificent job of turning the Bears around. He is a defensive coach and most of the time defensive coaches WON'T put much into making an offense great. He does though.....he is one of the best coaches in football right now period.

Da Bears are cleaning up on a relatively easy schedule. Their big tests will be the Giants and Patriots later on in the season. They should get a first round bye in the playoffs if they keep doing what they are doing.

The offense and the defense played well. Since, they have the fewest opponent points allowed in the NFL.

Their defense has really played well and that allows Grossman and the offense to take chances and play relaxed.

Seattle is the only good team they beat. They play in the NFL central so they will probably go 12-4 and go home after the first round.
