Fantasy Sports - July 2006

I am in an 8 person league. I pick second. And after I pick second I will have to wait about 12 more picks before my second. But then I will have my second and third picks pretty close to each other. Should I take a quarterback and receiver - instead of another running back?

I wanted a new quarterback on my team because of KC's running all the time with Larry Johnson and also now Willie Roaf's retirement. My backup QB is Ben Roethlisberger and my other receivers besides Marvin are Roy Williams and Darrell Jackson. I'm planning to put Toomer on my bench and start Dante Stallworth as my third receiver. Was this a wise move for me to make?

Hey all, im in a 12 person league and we play 1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1K, and 1DEF for each week. I just had my draft yesterday and i think i did pretty good. I was the first overall pick also. Also i dont want people saying " get peyton, or Shaun Alexander " or stupid crap like that... Those players will never be in free agency after a draft.

The challenge is that I cannot pick any players from:1. Denver Broncos. 2. Kansas City Chiefs. 3. San Diego Chargers. Yes, I am a Raiders fan and I have won fantasy championships before without picking players from those teams.

In my league we can have 2 quarterbacks on our roster at a time (but only play one a week). We also play 2 running backs each week. We also play three receivers and one tight end. Should I go for a Peyton Manning? BY THE WAY, WE HAVE AN 8 TEAM LEAGUE.

The previous year people would have drafted Peyton Manning or Randy Moss in the first round. Now I'm seeing drafts by the experts where Tom Brady slips all the way to the 5th round. On the Fox Top Fifty they have Peyton Manning ranked 35th with Kevin Jones ranked at 29th. How could Kevin Jones who had a disappointing season last year, outbeat an Elite Quarterback like Peyton.
