Five hundred shots a day? That sounds pretty good to me. I want to improve for try outs in a few months, and I want to be really good.

as of right now, i have no respect at all for carmelo anthony and kevin garnett. on two seperate nights on sportscenter i saw both carmelo and kevin throw cheapshot punches ( or slaps ) at a player and then run away down court before the player could get revenge. i just think if they were truely man enough they would stand their ground. i'm pretty much disgusted and happy that carmelo will not be on the all star game lineup. what do you all think?

Seriously, they blew a 12 point lead to the worst team in Division I (and Iona didn't even have their four best players: Bruin, Camper, Gray and Rodriguez). After tonight's embarassing (one g*dd*mn point?!!) win, coupled with that pathetic home loss to Fairfield, they should probably just quit the rest of the season. They aren't going anywhere. I hope they don't win a game for the rest of the season. Fran McCaffery is a total idiot... that is the only thing that can explain why this team is not in first place.

The West is clearly the better division but they always seem to lose to the East.

I'm hearing a lot of whack MJ hating out there.
From 1990 to 1998 (minus 2 years of baseball) Jordan was the undisputed dominant player in the game. From 1985 to 1989, he was certainly the greatest single player (37.1 ppg one year, Defensive Player of Year another) but Bird and Magic were racking up the championships, preventing Jordan from claiming the "makes his teammates better" mantle.
Jordan was always the top scorer and ALWAYS clutch, not only 6-0 in the Finals but was MVP of every one he played in. Had he not done the baseball nonsense, he would have almost surely had 8 rings instead of 6 (The Rockets of 94 and 95 werent that good), putting him just behind Bill Russell of the Celtics machine and way ahead of everyone else.
As for the "competition" angle, Jordan de-throned Magic in 1991 and then slayed Barkley, Drexler, Payton, Malone, Ewing, etc., leaving a whole generation of Hall of Famers without titles.
Bottom Line, Jordan is the greatest ever.

If Ming and Boozer can't play in the all star game due to injury, who should be there replacements? One, has to be the leagues leading scorer in Carmelo Anthony, but who should be the other?

Here are 10 guys to consider:
Mehmet Okur (the third best center in the conference)
Deron Williams (second in the NBA in assists)
Ray Allen (the leagues best pure shooter)
Zack Randolph (consistent scorer and rebounder)
Elton Brand (capable inside scorer, and shot blocker)
Kevin Martin (a young Ray Allen?)
Baron Davis (spectacular playmaker)
Chris Paul (last seasons rookie of the year)
Pau Gasol (looking good, coming off an injury)
Josh Howard (second best player, on one of leagues top two teams)

My pick: Ray Allen

I think even though he had the 15 game suspension he is clearly good enough to be an all star and should at least take place of boozer or Yao

The bulls would like to have Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzles. This would requie the Bulls to send it's starters Kirck Hinrich, Ben Gordon, Luol Deng.

I just started basketball this year, and tried out with my friends and made the middle school team. I worked hard and wasn't no michael jordan but still was pretty good. Even i've been trying so much to shoot a basket during at least one of our games I still haven't and everybody else on the team has. Now next week is our last final game of the season and even though today I got a foul and had to make a foul shot from the line, I missed my chances 2 times and failed. Is it alright? Should I learn from my mistakes? I feel dissapointed and upset over this and don't know what else to do.
