In order to be considered legal and allow a play to stand if a batter reaches first base safely on a hit, how many feet must the batter have had on the ground in the batters box as he hit the fair ball.

Remember, Jim Abbot? The California Angels' left-handed picther with only one hand? If he had pitched in the National League where the pitcher bats, do you think he would have been an exception for his team to use the DH rule? And if so, do you think that the opponent team would have demanded to be allowed to use a DH? Or maybe he wouldn't have qualified to be a NL pitcher. What do you think?

the baseball is an official ball for the american league. Brand new, no marks never played with. I am going to be putting it on ebay for sale i just have to get it all professionally verified. A sports collector mentioned psn/dna? not sure what that is.
