I'm from Australia. Back in the 80s or 90s, the US started changing to metric but then it faded out. Now I'm seeing broadcasts (e.g. Champ Car )where they're converting track length to kilometres and average speed in km/h. Has the US decided to go fully metric? Yes, it was US and not Canada races I saw!

Yay! I'm going to my first Nascar race in Daytona at the end of the month. What should I bring? I know I should pack my bikini and sun tan lotion, but what do you think I might need down there that I haven't thought of? Legit answers please! I'm an Earnhart guy, no doubt about it, and most people consider him to be a greater driver than Richard Petty. Earnhart: 84 Wins. Petty: 200. Yeah Dale was cooler and more exciting and would make you stuff your own car into a wall (The Intimidator, remember?) and if that didn't work he would do it with his front bumper. Did that make him "Greater?"

It seems that every year more and more races are being scheduled on Saturday night instead of Sunday afternoon. There were races three Saturdays in-a-row this year. I personally feel that NASCAR was meant for Sundays and home-town racing was meant for Fridays and Saturdays. What does everyone else think?
