No biography of him that I've been able to find tells the story behind the title that he used--it's the equivalent of count or earl in Spain and Portugul, and is also a reference to a junior branch of the Bourbon dynasty. He was born in the U.S. to an American father, although his mother was distant French aristocracy and I believe one of his two wives also had some connection to European nobility--but neither of those facts explains his use of the title. Was it just an affectation? Thanks very much--I haven't been able to find a satisfying answer, and it's driving me nuts! (I know, clearly I have too much time on my hands...)

It is thought that rh neg blood is "pure" blood - tracked back to Adam and Eve. It is true that to have a second child that is not negative and the mother is will result in many complications - mabey this is why they kept inbreeding ? There is only a small percentage of the world population that is neg and they all (most all) originate from the Basque region of Europe-south France bordering Spain

just recently i read a book about Mary Tudor and how she was trying to be queen of England. I know Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded by Elizabeth the first. And at the end of the book, Mary Tudor was hugging Elizabeth the First and saying she loved her. bu that later on she would become her worst enemy. My main question is, are these two people(mary Queen of Scots and Mary Tudor) the same person?

Just wondering? Do Prince William or Prince Harry (his name's actually Henry) have special titles right now, like Duke of York, etc.

If Charles is currently Prince of Wales, are the young princes "princes" of anything? thanks, if you know....

Why do we refer to people like that when we are talking directly to them? Why don't we say, Good Evening "Mr. Judge" or "King Joe" or "Queen Ingeborg?" And who came up with this idea? When?

Richard Lockwood Boulton founded a very successful Stone Mason and Wood Carving company in Cheltenham in the late 1800's. Richard died about 1901, and was predeaced by his brother William, and his first wife Martha Dudson.
He had five children with Martha, and five more with Fany Cowley. His firm did at least one Royal commision; and he was supposed to have had tea with Queen Victoria. Any other information would be appreciated.
