Umm, Jean, that would be "Princess Michael, the Duchess of KENT" and she's been around forever and since she's Catholic her husband/family is even out of the succession for the Throne now. She's named Michael because that's her husbands name, Prince Michael of Kent, Queen Elizabeths first cousin. Since she was only a Baroness on the European Continent, as a Princess she had to take her husbands name, Michael.

I know some Lords, some Ladies a couple of Viscounts and a few knights. Two of my friends own castles in Scotland - or used to until they moved to the Trust. To be honest they are nothing special, just really good people and a pleasure to be friends with. Not to be awed at or reveared just nice people.

Queens?
Where do you work?
No, I don't have a title. I am a normal, middleclass person. I WISH I had a title. Only way of me getting that is marrying a lord.

The most gracious and intelligent member of the Royal Family of England is, Michael Duchess of York. She is a Treasure in and of herself.
The so-called "royals" should take note.

I have an uncle with a title, my Mum worked with a Lord and one of my teachers became a Sir. I also vaguely know Sir Jimmy Saville (wow!).
