Yes, of course she WAS A PRINCESS! She was Princess Andrew, however, the Popular Press in Britian would NEVER call her or Diana that (Princess Charles) so they called them by their names, Sarah and Diana! Just ask Princess Michael of Kent, she married Prince Micheal of Kent, the Queen's first cousin. However, she wasn't popular and had to keep her husbands first name as a Princess, Michael. So, YES, OF COURSE THEY WERE PRINCESSES!

Her titile then was "Her Royal Highness, Sarah, Duchess of York, Princess of Great Britian and so-and-so."

NOW, after the divorce, her title is, "Sarah the Duchess of York" nothing more, nothing less. This does not mean she is the Duchess of York, SHE IS NOT. That title/job goes to whoever Prince Andrew is married too. However, she can "keep" the title until marriage or death, so long as Andrews next wife is KNOWN as "HRH, Princess so-and-so, The Duchess of York."

So, yes, she WAS a Princess!

No.

When Sarah Ferguson was married to Prince Andrew, her title was Her Royal Highness the Duchess of York.

Now her title is Duchess of York only.

Yes, Sarah Ferguson who married Prince Andrew was a princess. As his mother bestowed upon him the title of Duke of York (a title often given to the Monarch's second son) on the morning of his wedding, she automatically became the Duchess of York, but she was also a princess. She still retains her title of Duchess of York, but now without the "Her royal highness" part since the divorce. Prior to her wedding she was a commoner, unlike Diana who was a Lady prior to her wedding.

First off she was married to Prince Andrew. And yes she was technically a princess, but she was also a duchess, as Andrew was a duke. They were the Duke and Duchess of York. And technically Prince Charles is also a duke. Duke of Rothesbury (spelling) I think.

You mixed up your royals, Sarah Ferguson was married to Prince Andrew. She was NOT royalty until she married Andrew. Sophie Rhys Jones is married to Prince Edward and she 's not royal either, until she married Edward.
