Tell me your story

im a native american, so my question is, howcome jesus is always depicted as pale blonde haired guy, i mean afterall he was born in the middle-east right, and aren't they all like the same skin color as me, why with that reasoning, maybe he was black, or maybe it looked kinda red, right? But since this is a white dominated world, it's only fitting that he be depicted solely on that race right? (or maybe just maybe he was a mix of all races, that are each apart of him, just that each unique feature is taken from him on placed among differenent races, chinese, native/mexican, white, black. LOL can you imagine how that would like like?)

You say Jesus was a Jew.

You also say Jesus is still alive (He arose).

(By the way I am a believer)

So why do you say He "was" a Jew?

Did He convert? Did He say the Sinners prayer in Heaven? Is He all "Christian" now??

Obviously, I think He is still a Jew.

thoughts??

I'm bored. I like the spirit that coincides with Christmas and Christmas alone, cause let's face it; Hanukkah is boring as hell. All of my friends will be opening gifts in several hours in what is bound to be a heart-warming holiday with their families. They'll spend the day watching Ralphie attempt to get his air-gun, looking for batteries for their new gifts, and drinking that disgusting eggnog. I need to do shopping but everything will be closed..and I can't think of anything to do but get fat in front of the TV watching Season 2 of Lost. Any suggestions? I can only entertain people's questions on this site for so long..

Samuel 18:25-27

And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines. And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king's son in law: and the days were not expired. Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.

It should take over a billion years for their light to reach the Earth for us to see, should it not?

"While light from the Sun takes only about eight minutes to reach Earth, the farthest stars are so distant that their light takes billions of years to reach Earth."

Even dinosaur bones that are 60+ million years old have been found, why is it that no one has found bones of human beings who lived with a life span of several hundred years? Christians, how do you explain this?

2007-12-24 17:41:12 · 17 answers · asked by Anonymous

I've kind of decided that I believe in God now. I've really been thinking about it over the past few days. I've seen the power by which faith gives people strength, courage, and hope. I don't think the effect of faith on people's lives can be explained in purely natural terms.

I'm thinking of converting to either Roman Catholicism or Greek Orthodoxy.

So anyways - do you have any thoughts, opinions, bits of information, etc., you wish to share?

And no, I'm not a troll.
