I am pretty much a conservative, and fundamental Christian, I am kind of vocal about my right to say "Jesus is Lord" in public as liberals are vocal about "Jesus is a myth".

I asked aquestion approx 2 days ago regarding the "one road to Heaven" topic, because even amongst many "believers" I have talked with they reference "other ways, or doctrine" contrary to the Bible as being ok ,and "God approved".

I got 6 responses in 2 days.

I asked a question about Rosie, approx 20 hours ago (I have not been happy with Rosie since I watched her attackTom Seleck on her show. I also have noticed how hateful she looks at people that disagree with her "lifestyle" based on Christian principles). I got 14 replys to that one.

In less than 24 hrs I got more than twice the replies about Rosie, than I got about the Savior of the entire world, Creator of all there is.

Why is there such a difference?

Why not more interest in your eternal soul?

It is summer and all over the place we see pictures of these skinny women. It is gross. Women should have breases and hips they should not look like a 12 year old boy.

I am about half a head taller than my husband without wearing heels. Most of the time i wear flat shoes, but i like wearing heels every so often. My in-laws are "small people" and i sometimes feel like a giant, but most of the time i don't care. I am about 5'8. How does other people see a couple like us ?

yer so as i was saying he was talking and as i looked around at everyone they were smiling because he was just talking non-stop
i didnt even say anything and he kept talking so i said "ok mate seeya" and when i got to the doors he was still talking, then i relized he was talking to himself. i felt sorry for him because maybe he had no-one to talk too or that he was sick and because he was talking to himself people just ignored him.
I always have these wierd sorts of people always comming up to me and just start talking so i talk back because i'm just a friendly person and really i dont care if they are crazy because they are humans too. but anyway i wonder why is it when i ask for 1 thing i dont get it, i mean thats all i want is a friend and i ask god but he never says anything or do i find that opportunity to make a good freindship,My church doesnt have a get together group, i'm 29 and too old to join any of thier youth groups. sometimes i just get sad because every1 needs a friend

What is th deal with parents naming their kids after themselves, such as John Williams the III, or Jr.? Comon, let your kid have their own identity. They're not you, and it's narcissistic of certain parents to do that. It's vanity disguised as pride.

Or how about parents who name their boys with girlie names, like Leslie, Chad, Kyle or Ryan? Give them a real man's name like John, Chuck, Lou, Greg or Bill. or these mother's who name their girls hippie names, like Moonbeam, Sky or Cadence?

Give them a nice girls name like Cindy, Jennifer, Mary or Christine. You don't have to come up with some weird or freaky name in order to be unconventional or unique. People are unique by their souls and personality, not their names. If parents think a name is going to define them, then they really don't understand the true concept of uniqueness.

It's weird for the rest of us to have to remember or look at someone with those names. So comon parents, give your kid a normal name.

Hi there,

Sheer curiosity made me join Y!A. I took Y!A very lightly, expecting the very least from this type of forums at first when I joined. As time passed by, I noticed with utter astonishment that most contributors -- if not all -- in this yahoo community were very sincere and dedicated -- both askers as well as answerers. Is it only my observation? Do you agree with me?
What might be the reason? Is it due to some yahoo policies and filtering rules? Or is it because most people in the world are help oriented? Any comment is most welcome!

Can you tell I'm a numbers person ? All I can remember is that in the late 60's I paid .33 a gallon for gas for my VW bug and I love to compare like housing costs and all, so for those of you who lived in the later 60's as teens and older, how much did anything cost ??? bread, annual income , lets make this fun for us geezers :)
