It is a stereotype.....especially when many of the examples of "blonds" they will use to justify the stereotype are in fact people with dyed hair.

People always need something/someone to make fun of. Of course not everybody fits into that stereotype (maybe they got it from Kelly Bundy?)
Edit: they think oh she's pretty, but does she have the brains AND the beauty? You can't have everything. However, appharently, some people do.
"That is a VERY racist question/comment. Dont you agree. If I had or someone else had made the same comment about blacks having low IQ's and placing no value on education or family values I would have the whole black community upset at me for making such a sterotypical comment and observation."
First of all it's not racism, it's prejudism. And we brunettes have a stereotype of being dull so how do you think that makes us feel? Plus I'm asian and people always think I"m good at math when I totally suck at it.
"The media has helped to a great extent.
The blonde "bombshells" of the fifties and sixties were portrayed on the screen to be shallow, superficial characters.
Marilyn Monroe & Jane Mansfield come to mind immediately, but it has followed down through the decades to the likes of Anna Nicole Smith."
For your information, marilyn Manroe was a natural Brunette. She was born with brown hair or dark hair.

Because the stereotype is that many blonde females are really shallow, really stupid, have no intellectual abilities and only care about marrying rich and social drama. As harsh is that sounds, that is true for any female who acts like an "airhead".

Truth is, one doesn't need to be a blonde to act like a proverbial one. And, the female gender does not have a monopoly on the airhead market.

The gene that causes blonde hair is a recessive gene. Personally (and not to stereotype, so I apologize if I offend anyone), every natural blonde (and even some bottle blondes!) I know really are a bit ditzy and air-headed.
