There are, indeed, some perfect people around: they achieved perfection, through practice! You may not know them, they do not practise self-projection, no asdvertising for them, for, it is part of their perfect sense that they do not advertise! So, go ahead, practise, whether it is music, cricket, writing, lecturing, teaching, .....and seek perfection. Remember, though, the Russian adage, "Perfect is the enemy of Good"! In practical life and work, on a mundane plane, aim at 'good' results, not always 'perfect'! Perfection is ideal, almost spiritual, good for most forms of fine arts and meta-physics!

Remember how you learnt to walk ? How many times you fell down? But you never gave up practice...and you can walk, run and leap now.
You were able to do that because you did not have any doubts about you. After learning the ways of humans, you have started doubting.
So, just stop doubting...set your sights and start practicing !Progress may come in inches or millimeters but it is progress. It adds up to kilometres.
Somewhat like the blooming of a magnificent rose-slow, inscrutable but sure.
"Have patience with everything-most of all with yourself."

To be the absolute best we can possibly be. Nobody's perfect, but if you don't try, what's the point in living?

It is simply a Metaphor. What it means is to be the best person you can be within your own abilities and intellect. Not to go through life being an insignificant person but a being of substance. If life is about anything it is about learning, learning to be something in relation to the world around you.
