Whenever people have conversations, all they seem to talk about is about what other people are doing and other peoples love lives and stuff like that......, why are them sort of conversations so popular amongst British society?

If two teams are playing a game, and,
- They belong to USA & China and you are an American, you support the USA team;
- They are CA & IL state teams and you are Californian, you support CA team;
- They are your college and some other college teams, you support your college team.
- They are your son & someone elses, you support your son!

Why is it like that? Why can you not associate with a team by some other criteria?

Why do people support their own kind, even if they know its not the correct & best thing to do many times?

After so many "tough on drugs, tough on crime" policies, America is more crime ridden than ever. What do you think is wrong? What do you think we must do to make things better?

If I bought American my house would be empty, and I'd be forced to walk around naked, 'cause I sure enough wouldn't have any clothes or shoes to wear. On top of that my car would be in the shop 4 days per week.

I am really starting to think that there really isn't any reason to be here. I get the feeling that I will never amount to anything that what I currently am.
A worker bee that just does it's job day in and day out with absolutly no thought or reason. I work only to support the rich.

The alarm clock goes off every morning and that is all I really remember about the day. I just don't see the point in life anymore.

The greedy and powermongers will end up distroying this planet for nothing more then there own ego's. Children will be abused and people will be gunned down for their shoes. The advertisements will tell the next generation what they need to have to look good or be popular, while telling adults everything that is wrong with them to support the big drug companies.

So many people in this world need help and it's more important to pay big business and athletes the top dollar. No help to the small person, no heath care or insurance. Screw the workers bee's.

I've been reading the Special Guests section and they all ask about ways to fix the world. People give advice but I'm not sure they ever do anything themselves. For example, in school we have discussions why kids don't work hard and don't care. The teacher calls on us, the students, and they express their thoughts on the subject and it's hilarious. Listening to somebody who doesn't work hard, they work just not hard, talk about why OTHER kids don't work hard. It's hard to explain, but hopefully you get it. Then the gov't talks about all the subjects, global warming, poverty, war, and know they're problems but don't take action. It's pointless to just talk about something if you don't actually do anything about it, including people. Why doesn't the gov't and the people somehow work together to fix problems. If nobody does anything, I should start a group to fix these problems. But that wouldn't be enough it's up to the individual, why don't people change THEMSELVES to change the world?

It's teaching them that you SHOULD judge a book by it's cover. Even the story Beauty and the Beast, meant to teach them the opposite, teaches them this. If Beauty loved the beast the way he was, why did he HAVE to become a handsome prince? It supports the idea that good and bad corresponds to good-looking and ugly. Cinderella does this too: Why did they have to describe the stepsisters as ugly? That has NOTHING to do with personality. It's also teaching young girls to be submissive to men. Not one of classic Disney stories has a strong girl who doesn't need rescue. Why? Because that's "too barbaric." Is this really what you want to teach your kids? Theseus, of Greek mythology, although puny, used his intelligence to defeat everyone. Atalanta, also of Greek myth, was a strong girl who refused to act like the weak girl everyone wanted her to be. Unlike Disney, Greek myth does not encourage naivety, but still supports good over evil. Shouldn't that be what we teach instead of Disney junk?

Now already it can be considered a cult: you have a central figure in it (the DJ, MC); you have various means of changing the state of mind (often use of drugs, loud, low pitched repeating sounds); ceremony (dancing, light effects) and all for the sake of feeling the spirit of unity and worshiping (where worshiping would be directed to technocraty and, in a way, science - the drugs are often synthetic, the sound and the light are very often electronic and, partially, mechanic, the central figure acts as a contact between the worshipers and their goal). Since all of this (a central figure, changing the state of mind and ceremony) can be found, with the exact same purpose, in many early, and even contemporary cults, and since we know that a cult can develope into a religion, or become a part of some religion, do you think this could happen to techno (culture)? Also, would you agree that right now, it is a cult?

I just heard that they are not going to bury Anna Nicole Smith till after some paternity hearing or something and I also heard that they have yet to burry James Brown who has been dead since December. Why not bury them and let them rest in peace rather than keep their bodies in storage while family members and aquaintances fight over their money and stuff?

I don't think that there should be school uniforms in public schools. I'm against school uniforms because people (mostly girls) express themselves through what clothes they wear. Someone who want to be independent usually wear outfits that other people normally don't. I do think that schools should have a dress code though. I mean, Girls shouldn't be wearing mini skirts or cut off shirts. But sometimes, creativity and can express someone's feelings or personalites. What do you all think?
