every time i see a homeless black person walking down the street i pass them up and i see through my rear view mirros that they were turning around and throwing the peace sign at me it has happened so many times thats why i had to ask

To give a serious answer to your question.
Most people that are homeless, regardless of color, have mental illnesses. One way or another...something just is not right.
Everyone survives on the street as they have too. I own a business in larger city and often "Street people" will wave, smile to get your attention. If you stop...you are a captive audience, "Hey, buddy got a "buck" to spare".
From the responses, some people, if you noticed, were offended by your question. I was not offended, just saddened. I am sorry your lives experiences have not taught you to be kinder or more compassionate to other people.
All people, any kind of person regardless of "what" they are deserve respect...even homeless black men.

Depending what town you live in there is a grey area between homelessness and "successful town booster". Yes, the big cities are vicious and horrible at times to the poor, but small town, college town, homeless people are sometimes happier than the working stiffs. One hundred years ago you could have said the same thing about Civil War Veterans.

let me tell u something. i am not white or black. were i live there tend to be alot of bums. i will tell u the honest to god truth. my city is very racial and socially mixed. i have NEVER seen a black homeless person. 100% of the homeless i see are white! no joking, it the honest truth. so stop talking so much bullshit cuz people are people no matter what race! get over the fact that ur whatever race u are and the man next to u is a different one. its just skin!!! get over it!
