It may sound heartless (I feel bad saying it myself) but if we in fact did save everyone from AIDS, starvation, ect, people would feel good about it for a little bit, but the long term consequences could be severe. The population would sky rocket and that could be a little problem.

That's what I'm sort of thinking, I'm pretty faulty about it, that view of 'Save the people!' is dominate over the optimistic side. I think of it as nature's population control, people will die, it's fact. Give me three fantastic reasons to make me feel otherwise, but I'm wondering why people aren't taking the long-term consequences into affect when they try to save a nation.

Politicians seem to be more interested in catering to special interests and I was just wondering what one person could do to effect positive change without relying on politics to do so. It seems to me that even if you try to take that route with the best intentions that you end up being corrupted in the end.

Pornography has been prevalent all the time, only medium changes. Earlier generation had mediums like books, paintings, sculptures, drawings, books, photographs, movies and even peeping Toms, so why blame internet alone?

I have this problem. I bring 2 cans of lipton iced tea to work with me. Last Friday they both were gone.. and Today.. well. I caught the culprit who took it. Now, I didn't make a scene, or even let him know that the soda was mine. I wanted some time to think about the issue on hand. How can I get revenge on this lunch stealer??

But Guys seems to be under the same pressure. Six pack abs etc... Anyone else noticed this and why do we look to a magazine for how people should look?

dreadlocks... a lot, actually. Over the last 5 to 7 years I have been wanting to get my dreads put in. However, I feel that employment opportunities are reduced dramatically due to the appearance. Whether or not I get them, I have to make sure it's within "clean" policies of the company.

My question is, why are the assumptions of dirty or putrid dreadlocks still rampant in 80% of the US allowing for the affect of employment opportunities for individuals with dreads? Just because someone has dreads doesn't automatically mean that they are villains of society or Rastafarians, or even pot smokers (I have never even tried it), or have a very low education. I witnessed last year, in Virginia, a girl working at the local Burger King, and her dreads were exposed from the top of the visor. Thye didn't have a problem with it.

Why would bigger companies you are attempting to seek employment from discriminate against an ever-increasing acceptable hairstyle?

Is it not funny that now, since they have become so popular (Just look at the front page of Yahoo Answers with Robert Deniro's blog about "Secret Societies) that people are now just dismissing ALL of them as B.S.?
Is it maybe just a media trick to excessively publicize something and distort it so it looks stupid thereby making everybody look at ALL of it like it is silly an not true at all and crap?

Now I notice that the favorite comeback whenever somebody even uses ANY critical thinking is :"Oh where did you read that ? off of some "conspiracy theory" website??
Is this reverse propaganda maybe? reverse psychology kind of?
