Yeah, in the belief system and worldview of hardcore conservatives, everything is so tightly bound together that if one part of what they believe is false then everything they believe becomes false.

They made a fatal error when they accepted George Bush (God = America = Conservative = Bush = good; everything else = bad) as their earthly savior and Presidential god-whisperer. Now they don’t know how to get away from believing in him without having to admit that the lie goes much deeper (all the way to their imaginary make-believe god).

Just like Bush can’t admit he was wrong and let go of Iraq, they cannot let go of Bush, Iraq, anti-evolution, God , etc…

What I find interesting is that they are all talk about end-times and Jesus’ imminent return, but there is not one of them that is willing to bet their money on it. I think their faith is a little shakier than they will admit.

No, not really. This just seems like an attempt to make Christians sound gullible and stupid for believing in the WMD's and being ignorant about global warming.

"peopler"?

Yes. I have noticed. They're all idiots (well, many of them) who are incapable of believing and/or trusting in themselves, so they just mindlessly do what the government says. They also blindly trust faith as opposed to science and intelligence. HMMM seems like a good decision to me.
