I always like to warm her up with a long hand-spanking, starting fairly light, then gradually getting harder - and interspersing the spanks with lots of stroking and rubbing. You've got the intimacy of skin on skin, and a hand-spanked bare bottom blushes so beautifully.

But once her bottom's well warmed up, it's fun to move on to a leather paddle or a hairbrush - or my favourite rosewood paddle, only about 1/4" thick, but packing a fine sting that makes a naughty girl yelp and wriggle quite deliciously.....

I like to use my hand, because it's such a versatile implement. I can spank, stroke, and tickle her without putting anything down or changing implements. I can rake my fingernails (I keep them long) across her red and tender flesh. Since I feel every swat as much as her, I can tell how much is too much, and can tell when to give it to her as hard as I can. Plus, once the spanking is over, if I have a more intimate relationship with the spankee, then my hands can also be used for other things. ;)
