Politicians seem to be more interested in catering to special interests and I was just wondering what one person could do to effect positive change without relying on politics to do so. It seems to me that even if you try to take that route with the best intentions that you end up being corrupted in the end.

In my opinion, improve yourself and be good and helpful to each and everyone that have an interaction with you. In this way you will have the feeling of satisfaction and you will earn the prayers from the people in profit. Moreover with your character you can be a role model for others, this is the only way to bring a change because actions are more powerful than words.

I know haw it feels when you see that people are destroying the world and as one person you cannot do much to change anything. We call the world a small place but individually we are even smaller. It is not much that one person can do.
I think you should start with your family and people that you know.
Just treat them the same that you would like to be treated. In the short time you’ll see the changes.
I did the same about 2 years ago and I feel much better. Good luck.
