We all say we hate Paris Hilton, but we don't change the channel when we see something about her. We all say White celebs with African babies are morons but secretly we think "good for them". And we all act passive about Iran but we know we're gonna have to go to war with them next to keep the oil pumping. Think on that because it's the truth.

*wry smile* when I read your question, I thought you meant credit, like credit cards. Seeing how the US of A has billions in credit card debt, I would agree with that.
But I also agree with what you really meant; the attention given celebrities is embarrassing.

I think that the media gives to much attention to negatvie things, you don't hear about a lot of good things that people do now days and this is not good.
