I went to high school with her and wish I could find her. We lost touch shortly before graduation in 1970. I hope she won't be mad, that I asked this question online, but this is a chance to find her.

So.. sometimes I ask dumb questions (yeah I did 2 days ago...) or I'll do something not quite right or someone will just want to offer some healthy criticism so I can do better. And I won't get angry, I'll beat myself up! I want everything I do to be right, and I don't want to make people think I'm dumb or hard-headed. How can I take criticism better?

I am writing a paper and would like to conduct a non-scientific poll of Americans only, asking "What is the most important American value?".

The paragraph the results will be entered in begins with...
For simplification purposes, values will be defined as ethical beliefs and commonplace ideologies. Some America's most cherished values are (in no order) the importance of freedom, education, religion, and democracy.

I will vote the first answer that isn't included above as best answer.

Thanks!

I think I'm a victim of bullying. See, there's this guy in my class, and all he does is call me names. I'm not sure if he is bugging me because he likes me, or because he hates me. My friends say that I'm a wonderful, kind, smart, attractive girl, and I deserve nothing of what he did/say to me.

Okay, I wear a bit of black, but I don't go crazy about it. I was in Gym class, an I accidently scratched my wrist. In class, he's calling me emo. And I said nothing, actually, I looked at him like I was saying whatever.

In class today, I sit right infront of him. We were all copying something off the board, when he hits me on the head with his ruler and says "Move your f***ing head!" And I said you didn't need to hit me! And I heared him say I was "Hard headed"

Personally, I think I'm doing a good job ignoring him, but it's making me sound bad to people who listen. Is there any way I could tell him to stop, and "Not to mess with me" thing. Thanks!

Donald Trump is an amazing man, and is a true and proud American. I think we could all learn a thing or two from that great person. It just shows you that there ARE good people left in this world, and that may be the reason people do not like Donald ... because they are jealous that he is a happy man with a beautiful loving wife.

Donald donates millions to charity events, and is a great business man. I have read all of his books, and it has changed my life.

Ok, I already asked this question, but maybe there is someone new who can help me. There are some kids at my school who draw little stars on the backs of their hands, on the skin right above their thumbs. I asked a couple of kids why they do it and they told me they only did it because some one else was doing it (Yeah, I know, kinda dumb) I thought it was just something that my school did, but then I saw someone that was not associated with my school and they had the star in the same exact place! Any ideas??? I will listen to any of them.
thanks!

Try to be thoughtful, or be rude...I don't care. Just dont offend anybody. This is not intended to be poking at religion or anything stupid, just a meaningful "?" in that its not beyond impossible.
Say the Alien is not (in any way that you could tell) being outwardly hostile, but rather passive...
Would you ask a question for knowledge of the cosmos?
Would you ask when the enslavement begins?
Would you ask anything at all?

I just wanted to know if I was rude to this person - I was standing at the bus stop and a guy came there in a few minutes..he began to talk to me about school, courses, and just general things..
he had been talking to me for hardly 10 min. when he asked if i'd like to go for coffee with him sometime later.. and i was a little stunned and told him i wasn't sure - i didn't really want to go because i have a boyfriend. So, do you think i was rude? Or was i right in not going with him because he's a stranger?

whether it is polyamory, gay, lesbian, swinger, what-have-you, why is it that the majorit of people begin looking at you as if you were an inncubus or succubus sent to destroy their soul? it's only a difference, and nothing you're forced to participate in, so why?

I am currently unemployed and most of the jobs that I want to apply for are 0600 - 1400 / 1400 - 2200 rotating weekly. In theory, it should be possible to sleep in the gap 2200 - 0600. But once you deduct 2 hours each side for commuting (assuming 1 hour commute), meals & getting ready for work etc, there is only four hours for sleep.

The thing is, I am a night person, so naturally find it easier to work nights and 1400-2200 shifts than the 0600 - 1400.

How do others cope?

This should probably be put into the general health section, but it seems that this shift pattern is becoming more prevalent, I decided to put it into this section.

Question Details: Can someone explain to me what is going on in their heads or can someone who has done this explain to me why they've done it??? To this day, I have not heard of one valuable excuse. Yes, it is your body, yes, we as women have a right but PLEASE!! This is a life we are talking about and this LIFE also has rights, especially when it was brought into a world he/she didn't decide to be in. Any comments, people who can explain from both perceptions are welcomed.
