Ok, I already asked this question, but maybe there is someone new who can help me. There are some kids at my school who draw little stars on the backs of their hands, on the skin right above their thumbs. I asked a couple of kids why they do it and they told me they only did it because some one else was doing it (Yeah, I know, kinda dumb) I thought it was just something that my school did, but then I saw someone that was not associated with my school and they had the star in the same exact place! Any ideas??? I will listen to any of them.
thanks!

Sounds like a mini fad or trend. Trendiness works like that.
See if a bunch of people start copying it, at a certain point the people who started it will stop because it isn't cool any more.
It kind of reminds me of Dr. Suess' star bellied sneeches.
People like to be different in a way that is "cool".
