If I don't try to stop this now, I am scared of what might happen. I'm sure I've found enough wool to make a dirty bobble hat? She may be planning illicit jam warfare - she's got books on pastry, and spent two weeks at a pottery training camp. I'm a bit scared.

Ok, no one can see you, but they can 'feel you' they can hear you, for example you could blow that stack of very important papers off the bosses desk and out the window. Blow in some strange guys ear, skies the limit, go for it and have fun!!

It is, as far as I'm aware, unknown in the UK. We only know it from a hit record by Dawn in 1971 but it must go back further than that. Any info on this custom please.

When I moved from the UK to Canada (not a huge change I know) I adopted Canadian mores and values - not at the expense of my own but as a form of good manners. I learned to speak french (enough to get by) learned the anthem and did my best to fit in. I did this because I CHOSE to go to Canada and to me if a person chooses to emigrate they ought to respect the country they moved to and try to fit in. A year after I got to Canada there was riots in a suburb of Toronto as people form India protested in the streets demanding that the Canadian flag in the city hall was changed to their national flag because "there were more of them living in Brampton than there were white Canadians" yesterday I met a girl in Nottingham who could barely speak english despite the fact that she is THIRD GENERATION British. I would never ask anyone to give up their national identity but is this going too far?

It's more than four years since I graduated from high school, but I still feel like a school kid at times like this. There is a party happening tonight for a friend of mine who's tying the knot soon. Most of my school friends will be there, but I've totally branched out from them so much that I don't like their company anymore. These friends of mine didn't really complete school as they left after the tenth or eleventh grade. They did other studies, got married and have their own families now. They are all comfortably off. And, in the meantime, I carved my own niche of friends and work that I'm comfortable with, and I feel uncomfortable meeting my old friends after such a long time. It's like we have NOTHING in common now. To make matters work, I'm single. A few friends have commented on it in the past, and it really hurt me although I didn't show it. Contrary to what they think, I really am sought after, but I'm picky about my choice of mate. They just think I'm a failure.
Help me!

If a person is subject to rasicm never before seen, flees from it, but feels the need to return; is there something wrong with that person?

I grew up in a multi-cultural city in Northern California. In '02, I moved with the family to South Dakota for health reasons. Lived there for 4 years. I am now back in California persuing a college degree, but I don't feel the same. I grew closer to my family, a stronger appreciation for my native roots; but I now know I have nothing here to stay for. Likewise, in South Dakota I encountered so much racism and prejuduces that I was beside myself and could not function unless in the embrace of the family I had never really known untill then. Someday I will no longer have them, and I need to start my own life sometime. It's just that I see now how translucent and materialistic California is, and probably always has been. What would you do?

There is so much advertisement featuring sex and awareness, disease, and impotencies,(viagra etc.), that it has posed a question in philosophy about the cycles of the past that it took the romance out of our lives. And all became physical in the days of old. Roman times,Greek, Arabia, Jeruselum,Babylon, Sodom and Gomorah? Is that what is happening in our world today. An assessment is needed for theory, feel free to answer with your honest opinion.

Last week I switched the pricetags on hockey stick I wanted from $100 to $25. I felt guilty at the time and almost didn't go through with it, but I did and now I feel horrible. I didn't get caught or anything, but I've always been a good person (I'm 19)...I've never stolen anything in my life, I don't do drugs, I go to school and try to be a kind and caring individual. I'm getting anxiety attacks over this not because I'm afraid of getting caught but because I'm starting to doubt my own character. I really want to repay this item, but I fear that that act alone won't change the fact that I DID DO IT, and that thought terrifies me; I don't want to be a bad person. I'm not a religious person, so this isn't about not want to be a sinner; I just don't want to be that kind of person. I want to pay the store the 80 dollars I owe them but I don't want to get in any trouble for what I did. What can I do?

Ever since they invoked a smokers ban in bars, I feel less like going to them. Mind you, I am more of a drinker than I am a smoker.
Should we drink more on the road, like the old days, or become hermits or outcasts in our own homes?
